About

Situated in Lafayette, Indiana, Gathering Acres Event Center is a wedding venue with a country-chic ambiance. The contemporary barn offers ample space for hosting larger weddings. Wood touches give a rustic character while the hues and layout make the event center sleek and sophisticated, for a memorable and modern wedding.

Facilities and Capacity

Gathering Acres Event Center features a modern barn that offers climate control throughout every season. The large 8,064-square-foot facility has the ability to accommodate up to 299 individuals. Inside the white building are beautiful wood floors and a stage with chandeliers crafted from wood hanging above. The kitchen offers your chosen caterer to serve with ease. Move from the foyer at the entrance to the spacious hall through sliding doors. Neutral tones throughout allows your wedding theme to shine. Outside are views of trees and a pond for an idyllic feeling. For those who want to get ready for their wedding in luxury, the site also boasts a 2,400-square-foot dressing suite. Located inside the home on the property, there are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a gathering area, as well as a full kitchen.

Services Offered

Basic rental of the venue affords you access to dressing rooms for your convenience. Prepare in comfort while you and your wedding party mingle and revel in the excitement of the big day. Tables and chairs are provided to help you set up the banquet hall and assistance may be provided to aid you with the placement of the furniture in the space. Tables are constructed from wood for a bucolic vibe. A manager ensures that the technical use of the building runs smoothly and a coordinator may be requested as well.

History

The barn and location is a family-owned and operated business. Founders Lisa and Verlyn Fast discovered a passion for event preparation when they hosted their daughter’s wedding in 2016. Soon after, Lisa found herself planning a wedding hosted in a local barn. Taking this experience, she and Verlyn transformed Gathering Acres into a premier wedding event center.

Best wedding decision…choosing this venue!

Choosing a wedding venue for your only child is one of the most awesome but stressful events to go through as a parent. You want everything to go perfectly and stress free. You want the guests to be comfortable and enjoy themselves. You want a coordinator that handles every little detail. We are so thankful we had all that and MORE with Lisa and Gathering Acres. Easily the best decision we could have possibly made. They made our special day absolutely wonderful and we were so taken care of the entire time. I will always refer family and friends here…thank you for everything

Excellent, it is so fun.

Well, Hello my neighbor Maria G?. No smell, no overbearing. Just my angry neighbor taking jabs after a recent approval from the county to add an additional 2000 sq ft to building to better serve our guests and to provide some sound cushioning for you.

Amazing Couple, GORGEOUS Venue!

Words cannot express how thankful we are to have stumbled across this place. They are so accommodating and sweet, We felt like we were visiting with family. Lisa has great ideas and her husband was really helpful as well. :) They have decor you can use, a nice DJ booth, a cute built in barn door bar, the lighting is amazing, the sound of the music is awesome....I can’t say enough! I am so excited and relieved to have found this place. I recommend this place 100x over and anyone who visits will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. They are a blessing. We are beyond grateful for them. ♥️ Thank you Lisa and Verlyn! Xoxo

Nice venue; but overbearing owners

I attended a wedding there last summer, only to see Lisa (the owner) trying to direct what was going on. I spoke to my friend (bride) afterwards about it and she said that Lisa tryed to micromanage the whole wedding.

Also beware of pigs being raised across the street as well as other "country" smells & noises! There are quads & dirtbikes & traktors that make all kinds of noise if your outside.
