We could not have picked a more PERFECT venue for our wedding! It was an absolute dream!! Mark and his team keep the gardens meticulously maintained. Everything was perfect, lush and green - it was a magical place to get married. We are so happy we found the Gardens at Ray Eden! I enjoyed working with Mark. He was responsive, accommodating, helpful and incredibly kind. He made sure our day was absolutely perfect and never got frustrated with my many calls and questions. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a garden or outdoor space. It is beautiful in every way!

Before and immediately following my daughters wedding we had some issues with Mark Cain, the owner of the Gardens at Ray Eden. I am very pleased to say now that Mark Cain the owner of the Gardens at Ray Eden has gone above and beyond to make things right. Unfortunately this website and others do not allow me to delete my previous comments that no longer apply. So hence this updated review and rating. I do not wish to see Mark Cain taken incorrectly after he has worked so hard to make things right.

We had our wedding and reception at the Gardens at Ray Eden and it was gorgeous! I had multiple guests that came up to me during and after the wedding saying that it was hands down the most gorgeous wedding they have ever been to. The entire venue is gorgeous. Mark, the owner, really takes pride in his property. He has worked hard to make it as beautiful as it is. When you walk around on the grounds you see so much personality and find new places to take pictures each time! Our wedding was in mid October so leaves were starting to change and it was beautiful.. I was beyond happy that we decided to have our wedding here. Mark is very laid back and pretty much lets you do what you want on the day of your wedding. We brought a lot of bourbon barrels and other large items and that did not bother him. The girls have their own little suite to get ready in the morning of and that worked out great! The only thing I was disappointed in was that we were told that we could have the music on until 11pm, but because it is in the back of a neighborhood, we had to turn it off at 10pm. This would not have been a big deal if we knew this ahead of time because then we would have started our ceremony an hour earlier. Besides that, everything was perfect. I am so glad we decided on Gardens at Ray Eden and I would recommend it to anyone!

Gardens at Ray Eden is a hidden gem! This place is the most beautiful outdoor venue in Louisville! Mark Cain does an excellent job making sure the property is at perfection before your event. He was very flexible about when to clean up and set up. All of our guests were in awe of the beauty of the whole property and it was everything we dreamt of for a venue. Only thing we didn't like is that some of the workers on the property would come down and get food and alcohol.

Our wedding at the Gardens at Ray Eden was so, so beautiful. Mark Cain is easy to work with, albeit hard to get a hold of. He will respond to your messages, but rarely answers the phone the first time. We asked to visit the venue multiple times before the wedding day and he was always so accommodating. The grounds are really gorgeous and our guests really enjoyed exploring. All in all a great experience!

Pros:
-gorgeous venue
-nice bathrooms
-ceremony & reception area all in one
-bridal suite for girls to get ready in
Cons:
-Mark Cain the owner doesn't answer his phone right away
-workers were using leaf blowers while we were sitting up for the wedding, almost lost my wedding bands because of them
-couldn't get into the gardens early to set up, so we had to rush
-I wanted to get pictures by the willow tree and pond in the back of the area, and I had to dodge mountains of dog poop
