The mansion was originally built in 1805 by John Bradshaw. It was designed in the popular Federal style and surrounded by 456 acres of rural Kentucky land. In the 1850s, it was purchased by William Wesley Duncan. He converted it to the Italiante design that still stands today. The mansion is currently found on the National Register of Historic Places.
Duncan Memorial Chapel is found just minutes away from the mansion and is a popular ceremony site for couples holding their reception at this house.
