Owner Chris Giakas is an experienced professional in the wedding industry and acts as DJ, MC, singer, guitarist, and pianist. Services Offered

Galavant Entertainment provides music for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions, whether you want a live band or a DJ. Chris can perform on his own, singing songs chosen by the to-be-weds in his signature crooning style. For a fuller sound, he can perform as part of a duet or trio, alongside guitarist Matt Gordeuk and vocalist Bridgette Mellon. Alexandra Paino, an experienced cellist, is available for ceremony music. Amazing DJ and Live Music

Chris was amazing! He communicated so well throughout the entire process to ensure he knew exactly what we wanted for our big day! We had multiple calls leading up to the event. He allowed us freedom to select our music for the live portion and the whole rest of the night! He knew exactly how to keep the crowd on the dance floor! Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing!

Chris is the best!! We loved having a live music and DJ combination. Our guests raved about him and his guitarist all night and for days after our wedding. You can tell he loves what he does and that is a big reason as to why we booked him. Our day would not have been complete without this duo.

Perfection!

Chris and Matt were absolutely phenomenal! Firstly they traveled all the way to Vermont for us & we’re incredibly flexible and accommodating to all our needs! No issues at all, they set up and had everything figured out in a totally new place! They made all of our requests a major priority and communicated with us from day 1 all the way until the wedding was over! Chris and Matt make such a great team and they were the talk of the wedding at the happy hour when they performed the entire time and transitioned into the DJ portion at the reception! We couldn’t recommend them enough! They are both amazing at what they do and are considerate and incredibly helpful! Every guest raved about them & we as a couple were so happy with our choice!! Best wedding ever! We loved them!!

Amazing job!

Huge shoutout to Chris, Matt, and Bridgette from our wedding band! Their collaborative efforts in tailoring the playlist, easy communication, and planning were exceptional. The trio brought incredible skill and a vibrant energy to our celebration. Our guests were blown away by the music. We wholeheartedly recommend this talented and personable team for any event!

Wedding 7/14/23

Chris was wonderful to work with from start to finish. When first reaching out to inquire about his services, we were highly impressed with his response time and willingness to meet with us. We first went to one of Chris’ shows to watch him perform and then knew for sure we would want him singing for our cocktail hour and dinner. Chris was always very relaxed, in a positive and professional manner, assuring us that we were in good hands at all times. Chris and guitarist Matt kept the dance floor full throughout the entirety of the night and did a great job reading the crowd! We are so grateful to have had them a part of our day and would highly recommend them to others looking for a nice mix of live and DJ’d music!

Excellent!

The day we met Chris Giakas, my husband (boyfriend at the time!) went up to him while performing at a winery, pointed over at me, and said “one day I am going to marry that girl and you are going to play at our wedding.” A few years later and you bet we hired Chris to perform at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and even DJ our reception. Chris’ performances during the ceremony, first dances, cocktail hour, and more..made all those little moments even greater! We asked Chris to perform ALL Beatles songs during our cocktail hour and we called it “Beatle Mania Hour” and everyone has been talking about it since! During our reception, he had everyone up on the dance floor having the time of their lives!! We are so thankful that we chose Chris Giakas to be a part of the best day of our lives. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!

Responsive, easy, genuine, talented

We had Chris & Matt perform at our 9/10/22 wedding. Would do it again and again. Just perfect. The process was one of the easiest parts of planning. We drove out to see Chris play before committing, and he came and sat with my family on his breaks and took our requests. That’s Chris.. he is engaged, motivated and just an overall genuine soul. Just a bonus on top of his unmatched talent. Chris and Matt arrived nearly 4 hours early to the venue. They played exactly according to our preference sheet. And were amenable to requests. Their range of songs is vast. They catered to both the young and old guests. They are worth two or three times their price tag. Don’t even think twice, book them!

Amazing!!!

Chris was absolutely amazing! He listened to what we wanted and the vibe of our wedding. He did an exceptional job with performing some of our favorite songs for cocktail hour. Our guest absolutely loved it! We would highly recommend him for your wedding or any special event!

Definitely hire them!

We hired Chris and his trio for our wedding on 06.04.22. The trio performed live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and then Chris and Matt stayed to DJ during the reception. They were able to set up in three seperate locations within the venue and there was never any awkward gaps in music playing from one location to another. Chris even surprised us by learning our first dance and parent dance songs to play them live with very short notice! Chris and his team are super professional, organized, and are genuinely a pleasure to work with! They really do go above and beyond. We can’t wait to see him again playing at a local restaurant!

Totally Recommend for Your Big Day!

I could not speak more highly of Chris and Matt. From the initial communication/meeting to the day of, Chris was incredibly easy to work with. Their performance the day of my wedding was exactly what I wanted, and was enjoyed by all my guests. I recommend you book them now to ensure your big day entertainment is perfect!
