Had my daughters wedding at this beautiful location. Everything was beautiful from the setting to the flowers to the decor. Excellent customer service by a wonderful and caring team.

Most beautiful venue in West Texas! A diamond in the rough! The new owners are amazing! Look forward to seeing the changes that take place!

The Fulford Barn was an absolutely FABULOUS venue! We fell in love the first time we saw it and knew it would be the perfect place to get married. It's beautiful and intimate. We had SO many people tell us how perfect of a location it was. We couldn't have been happier!

I would give this venue 2 out of 5 stars. I would have given it 1 star, but I will acknowledge that our wedding itself was beautiful and very well decorated.
Unfortunately, our experience with the owner was extremely disappointing. When we initially booked the venue, we were told our wedding would cost approximately $6,000–$7,000. However, just two weeks before our wedding, we were given a final quote for $11,000. I did not want or request a large amount of floral décor, but I was told there was no way to reduce the price. At that point, we felt we had no choice but to figure out how to make it work.
We also paid the owner to pay the officiant for our wedding. Two weeks after the wedding, the officiant contacted us because he had never been paid. We showed him our contract and proof that we had paid the venue owner for his services. He told us that she had never paid him. He attempted to contact her himself, but she never responded to him.
Please read your contract very carefully before booking this venue. There are also no real provisions for bad weather. Since essentially everything is outdoors, this is something you should seriously consider when making your decision.
Another major concern was the owner's behavior toward Hispanic guests. Her behavior came across as extremely disrespectful and discriminatory. During our wedding, she set up a table in the middle of the event area and sat there for much of the celebration, appearing visibly unhappy and behaving in a rude and unwelcoming manner.
There were also issues regarding children. While the venue does not clearly prohibit children from being on the property, it was made very apparent that the owner did not want children there. This should be communicated clearly to couples before they book.
The biggest issue, however, was what happened to our personal belongings and wedding decorations after the wedding. We were told that the venue would clean everything up and that we could return the following day to collect our belongings. We were not expecting the owner to keep our flowers, decorations, and other items.
When I contacted her about retrieving our belongings, she refused to answer my calls. Eventually, she told me that everything we were getting back was in a box in the barn. When we found the box, it contained only a small portion of our belongings. My wedding cake had been thrown into the box on top of clothing and a book that we had brought in memory of my grandfather. Those sentimental items had to be professionally cleaned.
We had approximately 20 large mums at our wedding, along with around 50 pumpkins, some of which I had personally grown. None of these items were returned to us. The owner kept them and refused to meet with us to discuss the situation. After telling us where the box was located, she stopped responding to our messages.
Our wedding day itself was beautiful, and the decorations were lovely. However, the way we were treated before and after the wedding completely overshadowed that experience.
I strongly recommend that anyone considering this outdoor venue read every part of the contract carefully, ask specific questions about pricing, weather, children, vendor payments, and the return of personal decorations, and get everything in writing.
Based on our experience, I would think twice before booking this venue.
