Team

Thurman and Rhonda Myers built The Desert Rose in 2016 with the vision of taking their gift of opening their home to minister to old friends and new, to feed them physically and spiritually and make them feel welcome and part of their circle on a grander scale. It is their hope that The Desert Rose will always be about fellowship and making memories to last a lifetime.

Michael Dunham, Rhonda's brother and partner, is the sole proprietor of Honey Do BBQ, a very successful food truck since 2004. Michael's knowledge of food preparation and catering is a huge asset to The Desert Rose team. Michael and his family can provide your wedding catering with the taste of West Texas.

Jackson Myers, Rhonda's son, has a commercial music degree from South Plains College. He serves as talent buyer, sound technician, D.J. and musician. Jackson brings a unique service to The Desert Rose. He can find a band for your reception to fit just your style or work with you on forming your perfect playlist for the evening.
