If you are looking for classic, fun, down-home, southern-style, New Orleans jazz & Dixieland music that keeps your group dancing - this is the band! We frequent Fritzel's Pub on Bourbon Street whenever we come back to Nola and these guys are their house band. They have the Jumbo Shrimp Jazz Band play there and lots of other evolving musicians, too. They are all incredibly talented & the music is sensational! Bradford Truby is the bass player & the main contact - he is so patient, kind, and really reassures you so you don't have to worry about a thing! They played for 3 hours at our wedding at the Audubon Clubhouse and sounded fantastic! They play in a pretty tight space at Fritzel's, so the slightly larger space at the Clubhouse worked. The sound was not too overpowering; sounded perfect! They will work with you to play any requests you have and are just an easy-going band to have around. It's also a great band for folks on a budget - these guys are way better than any big party band you'd hire for twice as much! Everyone loved the band and couldn't stop talking about how great they were! They really made the night & we are so grateful! It would not have been the same with another band. We really were torn between getting a funk band or a New Orleans-y band - frankly, getting Fritzel's was the best decision we made for our wedding. We played our iPod during the band's breaks & during the last hour, which worked out just fine and people could hear other party songs and have time to talk, eat, drink ... Fritzel's was the best!
