We hired Fred for our rehearsal dinner! It was so stinking delicious! I'm a huge foodie and Fred and I had a great time coming up with the menu. All of our guests loved the meal and Fred came up with the most amazing dessert only 1 week before the event and it was a hit. Fred went above and beyond to make sure that the groom and I were doing okay and the staff was also amazing. Fred is so knowledgeable about wine pairings and restaurant etiquette and what would work at our venue. He had the best advice for a lot of the dinner. It was the perfect start to our amazing weekend! Thank you so much!

Fried Green Tomatoes catered our wedding at Oak Hill and we could not be more pleased with how amazing the food turned out! One of the most common compliments we heard from guests was in regards to how we had "the best food they've ever had at a wedding!" We had Fried Green Tomatoes provide appetizers, a specialty drink, salad and a grilled filet dinner. My husband and I's only regret is that we didn't clean our plates :)

We asked Fried Green Tomato owner Fred to cater the food for the wedding of our daughter that we celebrated at Oakhill.
He offered us a complementary food tasking which made it very easy for us to be convinced about the excellent quality of the food and the eye catching preparation.
The quality did not differ a bit at our wedding even though Fried Green Tomato served everything in a tent for almost 100 guests.
What topped the experience with them was the personal interaction that they offered after the first conversation we had. Always eager to help and answer our questions we felt supported all the way to the beautiful celebration. If we would do another wedding at Galena Fried Green Tomato would be our first choice for sure!!!

Thank you for making our wedding AWESOME! Fried Green Tomatoes has always been our favorite restaurant we were so excited when they were able to cater our wedding. The food was delicious and very hot! We choose an off site location in the middle of no where and they made it so special. We had the forever wedding package with butler style passed appetizers, a very nice touch our guests were very impressed! Fried Green Tomatoes even decorated our buffet. After dinner was served they gave everyone who wanted it coffee and more water just in time for our first dance. Fried Green Tomatoes staff was wonderful to work with and made sure that every detail was taken care of. They are very easy to work with and made my husband and I feel so relaxed. The best part is that we can celebrate our yearly anniversary at their restaurant. Thanks again!

Our youngest daughter's wedding was held at Oak Hill Farm in Apple River, IL on 10/12/12 and Fried Green Tomatoes provided the hors d'ouvres and dinner. We couldn't have been happier with the finished product. Everything was delicious! The wait staff and food preparers were pleasant and accomodating. The main course we selected included a combination of beef tenderloin & chicken entrees with green beans, mashed potatoes and was preceeded by a salad. Fred and his team also worked with us to provide a late evening snack of cheeseburgers per our daughter's request. We received so many compliments on the deliciousness of the meal from young and old alike. Our daughter & son-in-law were elated with the results. During the holidays when we visited family that had attended the wedding and asked them what they enjoyed most about the wedding many of them remarked that it was hands down the best "wedding food" that they could recall. It all contributed to a wonderful wedding.
