I first heard of Dawn when I arrived to officiate a wedding. I remember walking in the bridal suite to be taken aback by the bride's glowing makeup. Surely, happiness was part of it, but she looked like a radiant version of herself. I asked where she got her makeup done and I hired Dawn for the next wedding I coordinated where I knew I wouldn't have a minute for makeup touchups. She was so awesome about letting me arrive super early so that I could be onsite to be available for the wedding party and she's really sweet, too!

Dawn was wonderful to work with for makeup for my wedding! She made the process very easy and her service was affordable. Dawn was very friendly and made the process fun while also being very professional. I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone looking for great quality makeup at an affordable price!

Dawn did an amazing job on my makeup for my wedding!! I will definitely be calling her to do my makeup for special occasions or just for a fun night out. She listens, she works well with all skin tones and she has a great personality!!! I would RECOMMEND her to anyone and I look forward to working with her in the future!

Although Dawn is a very nice person I will not be using her for my wedding day makeup. I did a trial with her and did not like the makeup itself. It brought out all of my flaws and she did not give me a bronzed glow look like I asked. When I went out that night no one noticed anything different and my bridesmaids said I could have done the same application myself and they each said they were going to find their own makeup complany to go through. I paid $25 for a deposit and the total for the application on the wedding day would have been $60. I cancelled with her and did not get my $25 back as she stated that was for the trial. The makeup trial should be included in the overall price. My opinion is she would work out for anything other than a wedding as you want your make up to be dramatic and flawless on your special day.

I thought I was getting a great deal when I'd booked Makeup by Dawn. She was referred to me by another vendor and was very affordable for on-site airbrush makeup. She was a little spotty via email, but overall I felt confident she would be fine. However, when we scheduled my trial, she did not show up to where we were meeting (a Caribou where we had decided the location based on its address). After I tried to contact her via email and text a few times while sitting at the shop, she finally texted me 35 minutes after our scheduled meeting time saying she'd gone to the wrong location. Accidentally going to the wrong location didn't bother me, but why did it take her 35 minutes to text/email me back though if she too had been waiting for me? Dawn was very apologetic about the mixup, but I decided that I didn't trust her reliability and canceled my services with her. She made it clear she was not happy about that decision, though told me she would refund my deposit since no services were provided. It's been 5 weeks with her promising to refund me 3 separate times and I have not received a refund, nor am I hopeful it will happen. I can't say anything about how her actual makeup services go, but I would not recommend hiring this vendor. A wedding vendor needs to be reliable, and she was not at all.
