One of the difficult things about planning a wedding is trusting vendors that you hardly know to step up and make your event special and truly memorable. Alec (the Innkeeper) and his team went above and beyond to cater to our peculiar needs, and the property and surroundings of the Franconia Inn were absolutely perfect for our wedding. The Inn was closed to the public for the weekend and was swarming with our family and closest friends. We held the rehearsal dinner in the dining room and rented a tent to have an outdoor reception in the field behind the Inn.
My wife and I wanted to find a place where our guests could feel comfortable and enjoy good company and the outdoors. During the weekend our guests went swimming, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, played tennis, organized yard games (bocce ball, badminton, tug of war, potato sack race, etc.), enjoyed the bar, and relaxed on the numerous porches at the Inn. There was truly something to do for people of all ages.
Chef Randy was flexible and very patient with us as we developed the menus for both the rehearsal dinner and reception. He listened to our likes and dislikes and created menus that exceeded our expectations. The food was creative, plentiful, and very delicious.
We could honestly not have been happier with the Franconia Inn and highly recommend it as a location to celebrate a marriage. Thanks again to Franconia Inn.
