Get Nicole as your wedding coordinator!!!

One pearl of wisdom I received when beginning the wedding planning process was to get a wedding coordinator. Without any prior experience, I just assumed this was an important piece of advice due to the serious tone my sister used when suggesting it. Nicole from First Impressions was one of 2 wedding coordinators I had contacted. I ended up choosing Nicole merely because she was the first to respond to me and I liked the first impression I got from her on our consultation. Ultimately, I am grateful we signed with her!

Immediately, I found Nicole to be down-to-earth, personable and easy to work with while also professional. Over the coming months, I also found Nicole to bring so much positive energy to the planning process. I recall walking through our venue with her, and she made all kinds of recommendations I would have never thought of myself. I think her creativity and imagination is so well practiced having been involved with event planning for so many years that her creative juices just flowed naturally for her when first visiting the venue. How would I get a hold of vintage furniture? How do I procure all these guest table decorations? Where would we put a moss wall? It was such a breath of fresh air knowing that Nicole would take care of all of this for me.


Nicole was always easy to contact, often responding within minutes to my emails if I had any questions. If I or any vendors made changes, Nicole was always open and flexible to these. I never felt pressured, judged or self-conscious with her. She was always invested in our joint ideas, and whatever plans we made she was always excited and brought so much encouragement to the planning process! Some unique recommendations I don't think I would ever have done without her was getting vintage lounge furniture for the reception, a moss wall with a wood carving of our hashtag, and pink water goblets that matched our color theme! I find there is a tremendous amount of trust that is required for a wedding coordinator, and Nicole is definitely trustworthy and hardworking. I felt I could surrender all of my stress to her, and it all dissolved. We could not have had such a successful wedding without her dedication and positivity! I highly recommend Nicole as your wedding coordinator!

A Godsend of a Wedding Coordinator

Nicole was absolutely amazing from start to finish even though we hired her pretty late into our planning process. She calmed every anxiety we had through our planning sessions and helped us with a ton of things we might not have even considered without her. She even handled a major emergency on our wedding day when we had a flimsy homemade arch, which she stabilized and secured using fishing wire from the ceiling; all without ever even letting us become aware of there being a problem. In addition to her Macgyver-like ingenuity, Nicole’s personal style, kindness, and leadership greatly added to our wedding day, and I can 100% attest to the fact that it would not have went nearly as smoothly without her presence.

I strongly implore you to hire Nicole. There is not a single thing we could have asked more of her. We went from it wanting to hire a day of coordinator to agreeing she was the most important money we spent on our entire wedding. I have a big place in my heart for good and genuine people that work hard and honestly care for their clients, and Nicole checks all of those boxes. You will not regret working with First Impressions Wedding and Event Planning.

Such a great experience!

Nicole is seriously the best! My only regret is not bringing her in sooner as our stress levels went down immediately after we started working with her. We leaned very heavily on her knowledge and experience; she really did create order out of the chaos. In addition to being extremely organized and detail-oriented, she’s a great listener – she did an amazing job getting our vision for the day down on paper and communicating this vision to all our vendors. I loved that I only had to say something once for her to make it happen and see it incorporated into the plan. She really went above and beyond to support us throughout the entire process, at one point staying on a 60 minute call for 2.5 hours to be sure she could answer all of my many questions. I provided a lot of decor on our day that needed juggling but Nicole was unphased. She has such an artistic eye and we loved how everything looked in the end! She was also integral in terms of packing everything up at the end of the night. She’s so proactive and willing to jump in wherever she can have an impact. That is the work ethic you want beside you on your big day – trust me! She helped my mom with multiple things on the day-of and was extremely responsive the whole night no matter who needed anything. At one point, our caterers were down a server and I even saw her jumping in to serve wine at dinner. That definitely is not in her job description but she saw empty glasses and stepped up. If you’re looking for a smart, reliable, and experienced planner who really cares, look no further! You’ve found her and you won’t be disappointed!
