We had our 10 year vowel renewal this month and we made the great decision to hire Firefly Ambiance. By the time we found Firefly Ambiance it was only 2 months until our event date. They had a phone number that I could call (which can be rare these days) and fortunately, they had an opening for us! Richard was amazing to work with. He designed centerpieces with our theme and color scheme that were perfect for our event. He arranged the lighting that we requested within our budget. Everything was beautiful on our vowel renewal date! It was even better than we expected. Truly cannot say enough about having a great experience working with Firefly Ambiance!

Richard is so amazing. He made the ceremony and reception absolutely stunning. Able to accommodate the colors and texture of flowers that I wanted. Everything was so beautiful. He is so friendly and professional. I loved working with him. I HIGHLY recommend Firefly Ambience. You will not be disappointed.

We used them for our wedding and cannot believe how great everything looked. Actually even better than we could have hoped! We received compliment after compliment from guests, and cannot thank Richard and the rest of the team enough for their help.

I reached out to Firefly Ambiance early on in my wedding planning process, without really knowing what it is I wanted or how to go about starting a conversation regarding event rentals, and my gosh am I glad I did not delay! After my initial inquiry, I had a phone call with Richard, who turned out to be my wedding planning knight in shining armor. Richard spent an exorbitant amount of time over the last two years (thanks to COVID) patiently discussing all of the reception details with us, listening to my vision, providing tons of ideas and advice, answering my unending number of questions, and ultimately turning my wedding day dream into a reality. Richard also took the lead on my flower arrangements after I told him that I had not yet booked a florist and was avoiding doing so because it felt like Pandora's Box. He was extremely reassuring throughout the entire process, and made some of the more daunting details and decisions fun and easy. Our guests were blown away by the cocktail hour and reception design, décor and florals. It has been just shy of a month from our wedding and we are still getting calls from family and friends talking about how beautiful and elegant everything was - which is exactly what I was going for and Richard pulled it off even better than I could have imagined. We truly feel so lucky to have worked with Richard and the Firefly team, we knew we were in good hands from the very start!

Event: We had Firefly Ambiance provide decor and florals for our wedding at Chateau LeMoyne. They decorated the bar room (“Royal Room”), the ballroom (“Dauphine Room”), and the Courtyard. And let me tell you - it was truly stunning!


People: We mostly worked with Richard. Anytime I got anxious about planning or anything wedding-related, one phone conversation with him and it was all better. Richard was so patient with us. I wasn’t sure what I wanted for a decor style or florals, and I showed him photos of things I liked and he said “I got it!”. And yes, he did get it! Better than I could have imagined. So easy to work with and such a lovely person!


Decor / space: We used some of their tables for a Memorial Table and Guest Book Table. We used lots of lanterns and candles throughout the space, some piping and draping around the “stage” area and to cover up a statue. He dreamed up such a dreamy and romantic vibe that really transformed the space to such a beautiful area. And the bouquets & floral arrangements. OH MY GOODNESS. I told Richard “I like purple and white and organic looking” and wow, did he come through. I got SO many compliments on my bouquet - absolutely stunning! And the bridesmaids bouquets were gorgeous! The corsages and boutonnières… just wow. To create what he did during a flower shortage… just, wow. He’s an artist!


Experience: Couldn’t be better. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

We worked with Richard Bartholomew over at Firefly Ambiance and thoroughly enjoyed it! He was so upbeat, fun and creative. He instantly understood what we were looking for an delivered! I found him to be incredibly helpful and friendly. We had about a year and half postponement due to Covid19 and he was always there to support us and pick us up when we needed it. He was flexible and very easy to work with! The decorations were beautiful, elegant and tasteful. We were over the moon with the result.

Richard and the Firefly team were wonderful to work with for our October wedding! We focused on bistro lighting, candles, and bar rentals and he helped me make adjustments throughout the process as I tried to make up my mind! Then the day of it was like magic watching everything come together. The lighting is truly what made our venue look so special and I can't thank this team enough for making our day shine!

If I could give Firefly Ambiance 6 stars I would! They were such a pleasure to work with and I'm still getting compliments on our reception and ceremony décor. They also handled all of our floral arrangements, which were incredibly beautiful. Everything was absolutely stunning and they really went above and beyond!

We did a destination wedding in New Orleans, so I was anxious about not being intimately familiar with the ceremony and reception spaces and layout, and I didn't have a solid vision regarding décor, but that was before I met the amazingly talented, Mr. Richard Bartholomew. The second I spoke with Richard, I was no longer stressed. After a short talk, it was clear that he understood the vision and vibe I was going for and all anxiety was lifted. I could tell right away that he knows what he's doing, and while I tend to err on the side of controlling and involved in every detail, I was happy and comfortable with leaving it up to him and letting him work his magic. Everything was even more incredible than I could have imagined and I was blown away entering both the reception and ceremony venues!

Richard also did all of our beautiful wedding flowers; bouquets, boutonnieres, table centerpieces, ceremony podium, etc... AND since we aren't from the area, he helped us find a caterer for our welcome party, a reverend, and a cupcake vendor. Richard knows the city and has experience working with these vendors and all of his suggestions were spot on. He has an eye for detail, knows his flowers, and is the utmost professional. He was very kind, helpful, and easy to communicate throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Firefly Ambiance and Richard for décor and florals for any event. I don't have enough great things to say about them.

Richard and Co. are amazing to work with. We didn't originally plan on adding extra lighting for our reception, but were convinced by a friend and it turns out was one of the best decision we made. Their candle walls and candelabras and vases are truly magnificent and we cannot thank them enough.

Firefly was a dream to work with throughout the entire wedding process. We flew from Brooklyn to New Orleans to look at the furniture and glass votives that they offered and they were so kind, patient and thoughtful throughout the whole meeting. We ended up getting long wooden farm tables from them, in addition to a couch, coffee tables and décor and everything they brought into the wedding elevated the atmosphere. Richard, in particular, was responsive via email and wonderful to work with throughout the whole process. We would highly recommend them.
