Filoli’s vibrant landscape offers multiple locations to add to the weekend of festivities. Breathtaking views of the Santa Cruz Mountains complement the Georgian-style terraces of the house. Out in the gardens, couples can exchange vows surrounded by 16 acres of formal gardens with beauty to rival the landscape. Lush flower beds, yew-lined avenues, and Sunken Garden centerpieces add to the romantic ambiance and provide endless photo opportunities. The gardens at Filoli bloom all year round, with horticulturists and gardeners dedicating their specialties and knowledge. The Walled Garden is an enclosed acre of land, encompassed by 10-foot high brick walls, providing a space for smaller, more intimate ceremonies. After the “I Do’s,” newlyweds and their guests can retreat to the spacious Ballroom for dinner, drinks, and dancing. This function hall can accommodate 120 people within the painting-filled walls and elegant décor. The Main Courtyard is a fantastic option for couples who wish to remain in nature, with room for 220 seated or 300 standing guests. Several other venue spaces are available, from the Poolside Pavilion Lawn to the Woodland Garden Court. Each venue boasts various capacities and atmospheres and suits any wedding theme.

The Filoli team takes great pride in their ability to be involved in such an important milestone and has a selection of packages for nearlyweds to choose from. The Elopement Package offers an exclusive ceremony location at the High Place with two hours of rental for couples wishing to elope and celebrate their day with an intimate affair. For larger gatherings, The Wedding Buyouts provide six to eight hours of event time, exclusive use of the venue after 5 pm, a complimentary 2-hour wedding portrait session, and a complimentary Rode Guide Membership. An on-site Events Manager will assist nearlyweds as their day approaches.
