I was just married here on April 1, 2023 and the wedding and reception were everything I hoped for and more. The Federal Ballroom is beautiful, and I knew immediately this was the venue for me! Floor to ceiling windows, marble columns and great lighting but the best part was Rebecca. I had 4 months to plan and could not have done it without her. She is always available when you need her and made everything easy and stress free.

From the beginning to the end, my experience at the Federal Ballroom was nothing but exceptional. Working with Rebecca really felt like we had our own private wedding planner who made sure that everything was perfect and that there would be no stress on our wedding day. Would recommend 100%.

I am originally from New Orleans. My husband and I wanted to come back to celebrate in the city where we got married 25 years ago. With most of our guests coming from out of town, we wanted a venue close to downtown with an elegant ambiance. The Federal Ballroom fit the description and when we met Rebecca O'Meara, we knew it was a perfect match. Words cannot adequately express what Rebecca did for us and our family. What she did was nothing short of a labor of love. She places a premium not only in ensuring you and your guests have great memories, but also magical moments throughout the evening. She is an expert planner, ensuring EVERY detail is captured from begin to end. She is patient, understanding, and supportive throughout the entire process. Working with Rebecca and the team was really easy. The food and staff from Capdeboscq Catering were great and the cakes from Swiss Confectionary were fantastic. We had a phenomenal experience for our 25th Anniversary, one we will remember for years to come. Thank you Rebecca for all that you did in making this a wonderful experience. It is priceless.

The Federal Ballroom was the perfect venue for our destination wedding. The venue coordinator Rebecca was amazing to work with before,during, and after! The venue is beautiful and catering provides PLENTY of delicious food. Besides the venue being perfect with it's gorgeous columns, vintage elevator and floor to ceiling windows working with Rebecca you don't have to worry about a thing. She makes sure that every thing goes smoothly from day of schedule,centerpieces, last minute details down to picking up everything the next day. Between Rebecca and our personal attendant Sharon it was a relief to be able to just enjoy the night celebrating with our family and friends.

We recently held our wedding at The Federal Ballroom, and WOW, is the best way to describe the experience. From the moment we met with Rebecca to tour the venue through the moment we picked up our final items to depart, she was phenomenal! She made us feel like we were the only couple that mattered. The ceremony and reception space was absolutely beautiful, thanks to Rebecca, Jeanette, and her team taking the time to understand exactly how we wanted things. The food, catered by Capdeboscq, is still being talked about! Our guest were amazed at the taste, quantity, and quality of the food... (and we had several chefs at our wedding as guest). Larry was a pleasure to work with. Sharon took great care of us all night. The bartender “Big Al” became everyone’s friend. Our wedding and groom’s cakes were moist and flavorful (Gambino’s). was great. New Orleans PD made sure that we got an emmaculate photo in the street. It was the perfect venue for us to celebrate our new union.

Definitely book this venue! Our wedding turned out even better than I could have hoped for. The venue was beautiful and Becca is amazing! She was so helpful before the wedding and everything ran smoothly the day of our reception because of her. She was so accommodating and helped even with little details that I thought I'd be taking care of myself. I highly recommend having your wedding here!!

I can't say enough good things about the Federal Ballroom!!! My husband and I just had our wedding reception here on December 29, 2016. I am from San Diego, but my husband and I started dating in New Orleans and we knew we wanted to return for our wedding. I was nervous about planning a destination wedding, but Rebecca, the wedding coordinator at Federal Ballroom made it a breeze. She helped me pick centerpieces, gave advice on picking vendors, and ensured everything was in place for our big day. She was patient, enthusiastic, and a calming presence through the whole process. I was blown away when I entered the Ballroom the night of our reception at how elegant it all was. Additionally, the Federal Ballroom uses Capdebosque catering which was a huge hit with our guests. Their food was delicious and they even set up a Hurricane Bar and made bags of beignets to-go for all the guests to take as they left the venue which people loved!!! Also, Sharon and Larry from Capdebosque ensured my husband and I never had an empty glass, ensured our evening ran on schedule, and even set up an intimate dinner for my husband and I to get a quick bite in alone during cocktail hour in a separate room so we were fed and recharged to party with our guests the rest of the evening. That detail was so sweet! At the end of the night they sent our parents and us home with boxes of leftovers which fed us for 2 days! The Federal Ballroom made my dream wedding come true and our guests were thrilled with it all too.

Our reception at the Federal Ballroom was everything I could have ever wished for and more for my wedding. Our experience met and exceeded all of my wedding day dreams! The Ballroom itself is exceptionally elegant and beautiful. We especially loved the high ceilings, beautiful tall columns, floor-to-ceiling windows, lovely lighting, and large dance floor with a great area for the band.
Being able to have Rebecca as the wedding coordinator is what made our experience at the Federal Ballroom so fantastic. She is absolutely wonderful to work with! The decision to forgo hiring a wedding planner for a New Orleans wedding can be a little stressful and worrisome. but Becca made all of those concerns go away. She helped throughout the entire wedding process and was always willing to give her advice and expertise for our wedding planning. We visited the Federal Ballroom a few times before the wedding and enjoyed each visit with Becca. The day of the wedding, Becca took care of everything! We didn't have to worry about anything and put it all in her hands.
The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. We loved that we were able to pick so many different foods and that we had many great New Orleans classics to choose from. Our guests went on and on about how much they enjoyed everything. They especially appreciated having the hor d'oeuvres and cake passed around and how attentive the staff was.
The night went without a single hitch. I know this had to do with the planning and all of the behind the scenes work that Rebecca did. My husband and I, as well as my parents, felt very tended to throughout the whole evening, and the whole process. Our reception at the Federal Ballroom was beyond our expectations and absolutely wonderful. I am grateful for the amazing service from Becca, Capdeboscq and everyone involved, and I am incredibly happy to have chosen the Federal Ballroom. We will cherish our happy memories from our wedding reception there always.

I had my ceremony and reception at the Federal Ballroom. It was so perfect! Rebecca was so accommodating and took care of everything. It was as stress-free as a wedding can possibly be. The in house catering was delicious and the family and friends had so much fun. All I kept hearing after the wedding was how much of a good time everyone had. I have no complaints and would recommend this venue to any brides interested in getting married in New Orleans. Also, having our names on the marquee in the front of the building was pretty cool! Beautiful venue and great people to work with!

I had a destination wedding in New Orleans on August 23, 2014. My reception was held at the Federal Ballroom and it was absolutely amazing! The food was great and everyone was raving about it (the caterers that work with the Federal Ballroom were a joy to work with and they have a really good selection of food items to choose from). The venue is unique and very eloquent. I looked at several venues in New Orleans and The Federal Ballroom is the best bang for your buck. The Federal Ballroom also has something that the other venues did not offer and her name is Rebecca O'Meara. Rebecca is an angel sent from God. Seriously, this lady is amazing! You do not need to hire a wedding coordinator or wedding planner if you are having your reception and/or ceremony at the Federal Ballroom. Rebecca handles everything and she made sure that everything was perfect for my wedding reception (she even helped me with my Ceremony that was held at another venue). She also saved me over $1,300.00 on my centerpieces!!! Rebecca and her staff are awesome! If you do not consider the Federal Ballroom for your Wedding Reception, you are making a huge mistake!
