Everlee is a beautiful setting. It has the makings to be a great venue, however the owners have a lot to learn about running a business. We signed a contract and paid in full in early July. Two weeks before the wedding the owner tried to make me sign a new contract. When I explained that was not acceptable business practice she stated she was not aware that wasn't ok. She also informed us that we would be responsible for cleanup to include carrying off the garbage! Her wedding wire ad clearly states cleanup is included. I have never heard of paying someone for use of a venue and having to haul the trash off afterwards, but we did so.
They were not very realistic in set up time. My wedding planner was shocked that she would not allow us on the venue until 2 pm the day of the ceremony. Luckily we rented the venue the night before for the rehearsal dinner which we used as a few hours extra for set up.
There are no good provisions for a rain plan. There is a barn, a yard and pond, bathrooms and the teeny tiny bridal suite are across the yard. Guests have to go across the yard to go to the two small restrooms. The bridal suite is way too small. It's adorable and cute for a pic or two of the bride but there's no way bridesmaids could get ready in there. Our wedding took place last weekend on the tail of hurricane Joquin so we had lots of rain. Thank God for my wedding planner Haley Farless with Gathering Designs! She made it work. However I had to rent a tent last minute and spend our rehearsal dinner setting it up. If you are thinking of using this venue keep that in the back of your mind. Their fee may be a little less than some other venues in town, but by the time you have to rent tents for rain provisions, haul your trash to the dump after your venue, get ready at another location, hire enough staff to set up for your ceremony in the short amount of time they allow you on the property, and deal with their inexperience it's not worth it.
