As my wife and I (and our now 6 year old daughter) look at our wedding photos we are grateful we had Evan as our photographer. He was engaging, captured candid moments without being in (or ruining) any moments, yet still helped corral the family and friends into needed pictures for posterity. He was helpful, friendly, and wanted the best out of every opportunity. Everyone should be so lucky as to have him as their photographer!

Evan was such a pleasure to work with! He took such great photos, really helped us figure out posing (we are not very photogenic people and he really made us look better than we could have imagined). Along the way, he also showed us on his camera some of the photos he took in the moment and from that moment we knew we were gonna be getting some great photos. We loved his personality, he was able to joke around with us and our friends (they're hooligans, sorry Evan lol), but while still being very professional! He really played off of everyone's unique personalities very well so we felt very comfortable having him as our photographer. He was also very open to our suggestions if we wanted anything special or random in the moment. We can't thank Evan enough for being such a pleasure to work with. Thank you so so much!

Evan is the absolute best choice for a wedding photographer! His skills are obvious (check his portfolio to confirm that what I said is true) and just as a PERSON, Evan is a gem. He is friendly, professional, personable... without being weird, all I can say is that he is as close to perfect as possible as a top-tier wedding photographer. Evan is so great! My husband I got married on 8/3/19 at the Los Altos History Museum and had the best time with Evan as our photographer. We hired Evan and Lisa for 8 hours on our big day. From first reachout, Evan was engaged, timely, professional, and organized. He ensured that he had all the details he needed for wedding day so he could capture the shots most important to us.

Wedding day - Evan and Lisa were timely and ready to go! They scoped out some beautiful spots at and around the venue for our first look, wedding party photos, couple photos, family photos, etc. Evan was energetic, charismatic, and can get along with literally anyone. I am not a model, but he helped my husband and I feel so relaxed - we look like models in our photos! This is a team that goes above and beyond. Evan will do anything to get the best shot! Lisa even helped bustle my dress.

We received our final photos this week and absolutely love them all. We can't wait to be those annoying newlyweds who overshare all of their photos :P

Choosing Evan as our wedding photographer was easily one of the best decisions we made in planning the big day. He is a rare combination of detail-oriented, timely, professional, organized, and on the ball mixed with super fun, funny, energetic, patient, excellent EQ skills, and overall making you feel comfortable and relaxed, like you're friends just hanging out.

His ability and talent to find the best places, frame the photos, get you in the right lighting and centered, and have you look your best are unparalleled. Evan is also able to adeptly navigate and direct crowds of people in a way which is never bossy and makes it fun in the process. For example, there was one auntie who was holding a kleenex tissue while setting up for one of the photos; he noticed and gently asked her to give it to him, receiving many laughs along the way. He also made sure every face could be seen in the larger, extended family photos. We got so many compliments about him from our family members about his ease with all the guests. He was also very well liked by the church and venue coordinators.

Leading up to the wedding, he's super responsive by email. We also chatted over the phone and skyped with him. Setting up times/meetings is a breeze. He's got these awesome timelines, spreadsheets, and other helpful items. And he really listens, takes notes, and works with your likes/dislikes on poses, styles, all the usual stuff.

He's such a joy and pleasure to work with over the months leading up to the wedding, and we were so lucky to have him capture so many special moments. Our engagement photos turned out phenomenally, and our wedding photos are amazing as well. He and his team made the experience and whole day a blast, and I definitely recommend him without any reservation.

Evan is SO GREAT to work with. First, you can tell he really loves what he does. He lights up when talking about lighting and angles and making you look "really reallly good" (his quote). He is easy-going, friendly, funny, and professional.

You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day, and with Evan, it was a highlight of the day. He made it fun and we appreciated how much attention and thought he put in to the photos he was capturing. During our photoshoots he would get excited about the shots he was capturing, and as the client that is so good to see. He made me and my husband feel very comfortable.

In the time leading up to the wedding, Evan was super easy to talk to and asked a lot of questions to understand what we were looking for. He's open to any ideas that you have and will be honest about whether they will work or not. He knows timelines very well and plans accordingly. (And yes, on the day of, we were on schedule!) During the planning stage, he uses a shared document you can collaborate on to develop the wedding day plan--this brought us peace of mind that we were on the same page going into the day.

From the posed family portraits to the intimate couple shots to the candids to the venue shots--and all with varying lighting situations, inside and outside--we are so happy with them all. He knows how to make it all work. When he says he wants to make you look "really really good" he means it.

Evan photographed our wedding in Oct, 2017 as well as an engagement photo session before. He was absolutely fantastic! In addition to his fabulous photos (just go look at his website), Evan is a great person to work with! He is very organized and professional when planning out the event, and so much fun to be around on the big day! Evan kept us laughing and relaxed through all the stressful parts of our wedding - making great photos and great memories for us!

During our engagement photo session with Evan, he taught us how take great photos. It was great training for our wedding day! He gave us much-needed direction at how to be a model and he brought out many natural smiles and laughs during the shoot that made the photos look candid and great. He was also very helpful in choosing a location to do it after discussing the kind of feel we wanted for the shoot.

Between the engagement photos and wedding itself, we had several discussions with Evan about the different parts of the wedding to identify key shots that we'd like to make sure we got capturing the day. He was super helpful in thinking about how the day would flow. We went into the discussions with only vague notions of what happens during a wedding, but with his help came up with a detailed timeline of all the key events.

And at the wedding itself, Evan did a great job of interacting with guests in a way that made sure the photos came out great, but without disrupting everyone's experience of the wedding. As always, he had everyone around him laughing and smiling. Even the most camera-shy guests were happy to be in his photos.

And finally, the wedding album we got from Evan is absolutely beautiful. He did a wonderful job of laying out the photos we chose and putting it together into an amazing album that we love showing off on our coffee table.

We were planning a wedding in Healdsburg while living in NYC and Evan was very flexible, planning a skype session where we could “meet” before partnering. Evan listened to our desires of how we envisioned the day and he worked with us to make a great wedding timeline.

Day of the wedding Evan and John made everything so fun and easy! They made us laugh and smile through all the photos. They found the most amazing areas at our venue (even if that meant hiking up the dress to walk through the dirt!) that made our photos beautiful.

We’ve been married almost a year and I still flip through all the amazing pictures and I am instantly taken back to that day. Evan has a way to capture moments that bring out an instant emotional response. There are so many great pictures that I struggled to pick my favorites.

Evan Chung needs to be your photographer. It really is a need. I met Evan when he was doing the photography for my friend's wedding. I was so impressed with his work and with his friendly personality that I knew he needed to be the photographer for my own wedding (never mind the fact I was not engaged at the time). So as soon as I became engaged, one of the first things we did after booking the venue, was book with Evan. Even though I planned my wedding from out-of-state, Evan made it an easy process. On my wedding day, Evan captured amazing moments and had ingenious ideas to make the portraits with our bridal party really unique. I haven't seen the photos yet, but I have every confidence they will be amazing. In the brief moment when I started to get really anxious about the timeline and running late, Evan was able to work everything out. I can't wait to see the photos and hopefully work with Evan again when we have other momentous occasions to document :)
