About the chef
I was the kid who pored over recipe books and meticulously studied dessert pictures. Baking was a family tradition from all sides and the limitless possibilities never ceased to amaze me. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said, "A baker". Later, while at BSU studying music education, I found a pastry apprenticeship where my raw talent was recognized. I learned more in two and a half years in a professional kitchen than I had during my many previous years of practice. I was able to open my own company (Sweet Things, Inc.), and I developed my own style and passion for exceeding expectations in every way. I closed Sweet Things in late 2006 to be at home with my children. I am now back in business rockin' my own kitchen and fulfilling my childhood dream.
