My name is Emily Herrick, and I perform small (100 guests or less) weddings on Vashon Island, WA, on weekends only. I am a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant, and in this work, I have one goal. I want to collaborate with you to create a meaningful and memorable ceremony that is unique to you and your partner, one that you both will cherish for the rest of your lives.

My purpose is to create and perform unique, personalized wedding ceremonies for couples from all walks of life. My intention in being your wedding officiant is to be 100% present to and mindful of your needs and desires, and to create the sacred space to make your wedding day as memorable and as meaningful as possible.

You and your partner will be involved in every part of the creation process, because I want the ceremony to be exactly the way you want. It’s your wedding, and the ceremony is the heart and soul of your special day. I give you unlimited edits and the freedom to express yourselves.

We’ll start with a conversation so that we can both get to know each other. In fact, I have a questionnaire that I’ll ask you and your partner to answer so that I can get to know you as much as possible.

Then, I incorporate mindfulness and deep presence, create a sacred space, and honor both individual’s beliefs, traditions, and values. I don’t read from a generic script, use the same ceremony twice, or include corny jokes and religious language.

On your wedding day, the beautiful and meaningful ceremony that we’ve created together will come to life and be a moment that you cherish and remember for the rest of your life.

For couples who are not religious but consider themselves spiritual, and who are seeking a wedding officiant who provides an alternative way to honor this significant life transition in an expressive way, I will provide a wedding ceremony that you will truly treasure forever. In addition, for interfaith, same-sex and multicultural couples, I provide a beautiful way for you to blend your family traditions through a customized ceremony.
