Planning weddings can be difficult. The process of booking accommodations from out of town can sometimes be overwhelming. Trying to coordinate for a large wedding can add to the chaos. The efficient, cordial staff at the Embassy at Troy Mi made that part of planning effortless. This group but especially Joseph Colluci, Maria, Rita and Paulina excelled in great customer. Everything including our accommodations, meeting room and even breakfast exceeded expectations. I strongly recommend them and that kind of recommendation is not easily earned by me. Working with the Embassy Suites was absolutely amazing!! Joseph and Greg were so helpful and accomodating; the venue was amazing too and all of the staff was super welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend!!

The venue was wonderful. We had plenty of space good size Dancefloor and the food and beverage was spectacular. Everyone at the facility was very kind and helpful. Our room was beautiful and the king size Bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and made us feel good about staying there. Front desk service and hotel staff was great. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again if the opportunity arises.

We are the grooms parents and have a large family. All of our family is from out of town. We chose Embassy suites because it had an area that we could have the party at for 45 people that were staying at the hotel on Friday before the wedding (Saturday) and for the transportation to get everyone to the wedding since they were out of town and would be having drinks, we wanted everyone to have a good time, safely. They handed out our welcome bags for us as the family strolled in on Friday and that was helpful. Joe was fantastic and so was his staff. The food for the Friday evening party was great and when we ran low they asked if we would like to add more food, well let’s just say my family can eat and everything was amazing we had flat pizzas, chicken tenders, crab cakes, tomato/basil and mozzarella salad, the desert platters and one more item I can not remember, sorry. everything was plentiful and served hot. Joe allowed us to open a tab for our guest at the bar and start with a certain amount of money when we hit that amount the bartender notified us and asked if we would like to add more. It was an expensive night but we had a great night. Our rooms were nice but my son who was the groom, his room was not ready until 6:30 pm. The party started at that time so that was not cool they had to get ready in our room. The other thing that did not go so well, they offered transportation to the wedding for the guest. Well the driver was lost for every drop off and our wedding was 1/2 late to start, we had people who eventually drove themselves because after 20 min being late he still had 2more runs to make. They did offer for people to leave their cars and gave us a ride in the am to get our cars. But, this added a lot of stress to the wedding itself. They said this normally does not happen and they were unsure why the driver kept getting lost and I am talking 45 min to get to a place less than 5 miles “ just crazy” and he would not listen to us he was headed the wrong way. Well enough about that little mess, I was really pissed to be honest, I know they hire someone to drive and it’s not apart of embassy suites so it was out of their control. But worth mentioning if I am going to brag about the good you should also let people be aware of the speed bumps. So below is a quick run down.
Food and drinks: If I was only giving a review for Joe and his staff On the food and drinks I would give them a 10 for food and drinks, the pre wedding party it was perfect.
Rooms: 8 out of ten them not having the bride and grooms room ready until 6:30 was ridiculous , they said they were waiting for corner room, finally we said we didn’t care just give them a room!
Breakfast: 9 out of 10 lines are out of control long and food was average buffet -good, wonderful because it’s free.
The transportation to the wedding: A huge Goose egg.

Joseph and the entire team was excellent they really made our day a beautiful experience. I truly felt like a queen.

The event manager and all the staff working our event (Wedding Rehearsal) were very helpful before and during our event. Everyone was very nice to work with and provided suggestions to make the event just what we wanted and very special. We were also given estimates in advance so we would not be surprised after the event. I would recommend the Embassy Suites Troy for an event.
