The H Hotel is Mid-Michigan’s only AAA 4-Diamond full-service hotel and wedding venue located in the heart of downtown Midland, Michigan. This venue offers elegance and fine amenities for weddings of any style or size. With our beautifully appointed Indigo Ballroom and sleek, stylish guestrooms, the H Hotel is the ideal venue to host your big day. Our dedicated event planning staff is committed to providing unparalleled service and attention to detail with every wedding experience - big or small.

Facilities and Capacity
The H Hotel features the Indigo Ballroom to host up to 250 guests for an unforgettable wedding reception. Our Indigo Ballroom features elegant white and neutral tones as well as an open floor plan to accommodate parties of all sizes. Couples will also have access to our designated bridal party get-ready room prior to the ceremony and festivities for the day. All venue spaces can be customized with clients’ own decor and florals to suit their wedding vision.

Amazing Venue for Ceremony and Reception

We couldn’t have had a more perfect wedding venue experience. The H Hotel made sure everything was perfect for our wedding.

The venue is beautiful. We got married in the tent in the courtyard, had our cocktail hour in the foyer, and reception in the ballroom. All of the spaces were great! There was lots of great backdrops to take our photos at so we didn’t need to go far. Our guests loved that our ceremony, reception, and their hotel rooms were all the same place so no one had to worry about going between venues. We also got a lot of feedback on how much our guests liked their hotel rooms.

Victoria and Candy from the H did an amazing job leading up to the wedding and the day of to help make sure everything went smoothly. They were very proactive in reaching out prior to our wedding for planning sessions to cover all the details. On the day of they worked with our vendors and day of coordinator to make sure everything was set up and there were no issues. Overall they were friendly, enthusiastic, accommodating, detail oriented, and extremely helpful.

The Elemental food menu had so many delicious options that it was hard for us to pick what we wanted to serve. The H was very accommodating for all of the dietary restrictions of our guests by being able to provided special meals and desserts. Everything the H served from the drinks to the meals and the cake were fantastic and got rave reviews from our guests.

We couldn’t have had a better experience for a wedding venue. Picking the H as our ceremony and reception venue was one of the best choices we made during our wedding planning. We would highly recommend the to other couples looking for a venue for their wedding ceremony and reception.

Made the day run so smoothly

We had our wedding at the H at the end of July and working with them made most of our wedding planning easy. The staff was great and so professional I didn't have to worry about set up/ tear down or anything in between the H handled it all! The venue was clean, modern, and beautiful we had so many kind words from guests about how beautiful it was! The H worked seamlessly with our other vendors as well. We were able to enjoy our wedding and not worry about all the little details as they were handled for us! Also the food is amazing! Cannot recommend them enough!

Amazing venue

I could not be happier with the H Hotel. First off, the Hotel ambiance, decor, etc. was perfect. It is so tasteful and elegant, it was perfect for our day. The staff was so easy to work with through the whole process. The communication was very quick and clear. I am never a fan of wedding food, but our food at the H Hotel was amazing. We had many compliments on how great the food was. It was nice for guests to wander out to the courtyard throughout the night. It was also so nice for guests to stay the night there at the reception venue. In every aspect, the H Hotel was amazing and perfect for our day

The Perfect Venue

We chose The H Hotel as our wedding reception venue. The entire process was stress free. Vicky kept in close contact with us, and triple checked every detail. The final result was the wedding reception of our dreams! The courtyard was beautiful, the food was incredible, and we get compliments from our guests to THIS DAY about how wonderful it was. The rooms are gorgeous, and they make it very affordable for guests to stay over night. We are about to return for our 1 year anniversary, and we are so looking forward to returning and remembering that perfect night.

Highly Recommend

Claire and the banquet team at The H are absolutely phenomenal! Claire was amazing to work with and made my life SO much easier. As an out-of-state bride, good communication was crucial to making my vision come alive, and The H lived up to all of my expectations leading up to the wedding! The day of team at The H were so discreet, but always there when needed, and extremely friendly. The hotel is beautiful, and you are treated like royalty from start to finish! Our wedding was perfect and I am so happy that I trusted The H Hotel with our special day

We have worked with Tammy Walker at the H to host three of our events. Tammy and the staff at the H are flawless. It wasn't until I had worked with some other venues that I realized how smoothly everything operated there. Their communication before, during, and after were on point, and every odd request of ours was taken care of. If there were any issues, I did not know of them. They took care of everything so you can concentrate on your party.

We were so lucky to have The H as the venue for our wedding!! Kate, the wedding coordinator at the hotel, is very professional and fantastic to work with! She was an especially calming influence in the days leading up to the wedding, and it was great to know that the reception was being handled by someone with her level of experience. All of the staff at the H were incredibly professional and helpful, from the bellman to the servers to everyone at the front desk. We have not stopped receiving compliments from our guests about the quality of the food at the reception, the comfort of the rooms, the beauty of the hotel and ballroom, and the kindness of the staff. We can not say enough nice things about the H as a venue. It was simply the perfect place for our wedding and we would recommend it to everyone!

A visit to the H Hotel is all it will take and you'll know this is the only venue to have a wedding and reception! We absolutely love our wedding day. Beautiful, amazing attention to detail, delicious food, and so many other wonderful things to say about this venue. We just loved it and so did our guests!

The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We got married in a NON-PEAK season so we got a nice discount for a package deal and most of our guests ended up staying here as well.

My husband and I had an amazing wedding at The H Hotel. I work at several weddings throughout the year and I've never been to a venue as beautiful and convenient as The H Hotel. We really wanted to make sure our guests had a great time so having the ceremony, reception and lodging all in one place was wonderful. Our guests didn't have to go anywhere and could stay and party with us all night then go up to their hotel rooms. The hotel itself is beautiful so we didn't have to put a lot of time and money into making a nice space for a wedding. One of the main reasons we chose to book at The H was we didn't have to worry about setting up or tearing down the day of our wedding. I literally just showed up to the hotel, got ready and got married - no stress! Megan helped us plan everything from the day we booked The H. She worked with our budget and requests, verified our vendors the week of the wedding so we didn't have to, and acted as a day-of coordinator. The food was amazing! Everything on the menu was so delicious, we still talk about it. The staff is very helpful and we even had our own waiter the night of the wedding. We also got a complimentary room the night of which came with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. The value of what you get for having a wedding at The H is unbeatable.
