Ebell Santa Ana
With its historic features and grand spaces, the Ebell of Santa Ana might be the most beloved event venues of Orange County. The 1920s estate boasts period architecture, that features two stunning and large porticos that are intricately detailed in shades of turquoise, brown, and terracotta tones that make for the perfect photographic settings. Original red-tiled roofing, detailed entryways, and high celings also add to the wow factor.
The Ebell of Santa Ana is a historic event venue property full of character, that holds beautiful weddings and receptions, performances, special events, filming, and productions. With its large venue, multiple spaces, beautiful architecture, and historic details, this venue has all the ingredients of a perfect private event location.

Our Story
The Ebell of Santa Ana was designed in 1924 by one of the most famous architects in Orange County and originally functioned as a space for women’s education and philanthropic work. College was an unlikely path for women in the 1800s, and the Ebell Society was meant to be a venue for women’s educational and cultural enrichment.
Today, the building is used for all types of special events, educational events, corporate gatherings, and theater productions. The venue and non-profit society members continue with the legacy, with participation and encouragement of the educational, cultural, and social growth of the Santa Ana community. The picturesque venue is full of prominent history and nostalgic charm. Not only is the venue known for its unique features, it is also surrounded by hundred-year-old oak trees, and near thriving art and downtown communities.
In addition to its extraordinary setting, the Ebell offers exclusive catering and full bar services by award winning Colette’s Catering & Events.
Facilities and Capacity
The beautiful Spanish revival makes a lovely setting for photos and offers a variety of areas within the property to accommodate all types of gatherings. The Ebell of Santa Ana has multiple spaces and enclaves for receptions of all types. Our al fresco option includes an open air courtyard with covered walkways, well-lit twinkling lights, well-manicured gardens with blooming trees, and stunning arched doorways and windows. Inside the Ebell, the foyer features an array of archways, mercury glass doorway decor, vintage iron chandeliers, and restored hardwood flooring. The facilities include a large theater ready for incredible productions and performances, a large banquet space with a stage, and a few intimate spaces for gatherings. Also included are three baby grand pianos, private dressing rooms, and staging. In total, there is space for up to 450 guests at the Ebell of Santa Ana.
The Main Ballroom suits larger celebrations with more guests. Light-stained hardwood, and white walls, and high ceilings, this space is a beautiful blank canvas great for draping and lighting details that can really transform. With built in staging, this space is a popular go to for all styles and types of events. The Ballroom is perfect for a ceremonies, galas, receptions, and special events. Capacities: Reception/Cocktail: 250, Seated Dinner: 200, Seated Dinner + Dance Floor: 150
The Courtyard is a charming outdoor courtyard patio space lit by strings of twinkling bistro lights. It is ideal for cocktail hours, ceremonies, mixers, showers, or intimate receptions. Surrounded by manicured hedges, gardens, and blooming trees, it is the perfect location for dining under the stars, with rows of bistro lights or tenting for a more intimate setting. The Fireside Room is the most intimate of our indoor spaces. With its ornate tiled fireplace, grand wrought iron chandeliers, and large windows, this space is ideal for ceremonies, dinner parties, silent auctions, meetings, lounges, and more. Capacities: Reception/Cocktail: 50, Ceremony: 50, Seated Dinner: 40, Lecture: 50
The Theater - for concerts, performances, ceremonies, and conferences, the indoor theater is an ideal location. With built-in AV, sound, and seating, guests will be delighted. Capacities: Seating: 450

For most events, our venue includes: 5 hours of event time, 3 hours of set-up + 1 hour of breakdown, 1 hour of rehearsal or sound check, 2 private dressing rooms, and an easily accessible and very large parking lot
The property is also exclusively yours, with full use of the property.

They are the main contact for all event needs, and are present from the initial proposal process to the end of your event, and every detail in between. Colette’s Catering & Events is a full-service catering company, with experience planning intimate meals for small groups to immense large-scale events. Colette’s handcrafts menus, sources locally, and customizes creative cuisines according to specific event needs, styles, and desires.The process is collaborative, as it begins with the client’s vision while adding their planning expertise, their knowledge of the latest trends in exceptional, innovative cuisine, with a true passion for food, style, entertainment, and design. Colette’s has a real love for food, people, and celebrations and takes pride in creating an amazing experience from start to finish.
