It's hard for me to find the right words to express my appreciation to Drea K. Dora and Andrea are so caring, thoughtful, and professional that they make you feel at ease and very special the moment you begin working with them.
I had heard SEVERAL nightmare stories from my girlfriends when it came to altering their wedding gowns. I didn't want to experience the same stress that my friends had to endure before their wedding days, so I decided it would be worth the money to pay for the peace of mind. Dora and Andrea give you that and more.
Dora spent over an hour with me, discussing options for altering my dress, giving me her professional opinion but never putting pressure on me to go with them. She is very honest and does mention that their pricing is more but this is because Andrea herself (designer and owner) oversees the alterations and meets with you personally for the fittings to ensure the high quality of the finished project.
The alterations for my dress were over $600 - I needed 3 areas altered (two areas in my thighs and a bustle) - while I'm sure it would have cost much less somewhere else, it's kind of like going to Nordstrom vs. Ross for the same product..it's the overall experience, expertise and confidence that Drea K gave me that made me a customer. Andrea told me that every time she touches a dress, she thinks of that dress as if it were her own daughter's dress and you can see that in the quality and interaction with them.
I wish I had known about them before I had gone dress shopping as they do amazing custom work and have beautiful dresses displayed there as well :)
Visiting Drea K together with my Mom and having such a positive experience made the wedding process even more special for us as mother and daughter - that in and of itself is priceless, and I'm so grateful :)
