We found Dottie online because we were planning our wedding long distance. I was concerned that we were not going to get to taste the cakes or see any samples before our wedding-but I shouldn’t have been! Dottie was friendly and helpful (and chatty!), and always willing to talk by phone about flavors and decorating options, and give her advice when needed because we couldn’t taste the cake ahead of time. She strongly prefers phone over email, though she did respond to my initial emails unlike many vendors! She sent sample photos so we could discuss design and decorating options, as well. She made us 2 amazing ice cream cakes and a lemon cake with lemon frosting-all of which were absolutely delicious. At the reception, the cake disappeared as quickly as it could be cut, with some people having several slices. People were amazed! Personally, I usually hate baked cakes and especially wedding cakes-which are usually dry and awful (hence my choice of ice cream cake) but Dottie’s lemon cake and her buttercream frostings were just delicious!

Dottie Muson made a 3 tier cake for myself and my husband 9 years ago on our wedding day. I am pleased to say we are planning a 10 year vow renewal and will definatly use her services again.

Dottie Munson welcomed us into her home for a lavish cake tasting - my dream come true! I could hardly finish a few bites though they were so rich, and certainly couldn't make up my mind as to which cake to choose. Luckily, Bill was very decisive and made an excellent selection... we promise you won't be disappointed ;)

Delicious! You can not go wrong with a cake from Dottie! Our experience with Dottie was wonderful right from the get-go. She had us come over to her house (where she has her commercial kitchen) for a tasting. She provided us with dozens of combinations of cakes, frostings, and fillings. She built a mockup for us with pans, let us make adjustments, and took photos to be sure she captured what we wanted. The final results were beautiful and tasty. While our approach was a simple one, Dottie offered lots of ideas and examples that showed quite a range of expertise. Dottie's a wonderful woman and you won't be disappointed!

Dottie made our wedding cake and we loved it! We had a three tier cake and it was not only delicious but beautiful. We had a great cake tasting with her and could have easily picked many different flavors. My favorite layer of our cake was the yellow cake with rasberry filling. It was amazing!! Dottie was easy to work with and even matched our icing color to a fabric swatch I provided.

Dottie was very nice, but her cake was less than desirable. I had a hard time finding a baker for my wedding that we could afford so Dottie was one of my only options. I had made a few requests (for example fondant) and everything was quickly shot down (or made obvious that she didn't want to do it). I think she is good at what she knows how to do, but isn’t willing to learn/try new things. The cake was ok, but the frosting was way too sweet. No one at my wedding ate it. I wish we had invested in someone who used more quality ingredients and more creative.

We Had a cake for our wedding from Dottie Munson it was terrible. Do not have her make a cake for you. You will be sorry, we had the tasting in her kitchen and I new we
were going to be sorry, I should have walked out in disgust but my future husband said
it was too late to find another cake person. We paid $500 for a cake that we should have paid $10, we had to throw it away. It was not fit to feed the pigs.
