Dorka is AMAZING. I can't even begin to put into words her amazingness. Dorka has this special gift where she can envision good shots- like a 6th sense. She is so passionate about photography and it shows in her work. Her soul is magical . It was such a wonderful experience getting to work with Dorka. I wanted to shoot our engagement pictures in an abandoned (and closed) fort . The fort is so cool. She climbed through mud, 6 ft tall grass, stickers, mosquitoes, climbed through windows- just to get the perfect angle and lighting for our photo session.

I cannot say enough good things about Dorka. She shot our wedding and did an AMAZING job, we have so many great photos I can't begin to choose favorites. My husband is a director, so he was VERY picky when it came to choosing our wedding photographer. We loved Dorka's style. We didn't want a ton of posed photos, we wanted someone with a photo journalistic style to capture our day, not spend all of our time posing for pictures. Dorka was totally on board. We didn't want to do a first look and she completely understood and worked with us to make sure we got all the shots we wanted without the first look. She is a wiz at using natural light, and she even shot some of our pics on film. She was great with everyone, able to get amazing genuine smiles and moments captured. Besides the photos being amazing, Dorka was so lovely to be around. She worked so hard, running around to capture everything, she was so sweet to everyone, and she made us feel so comfortable all day. She took a TON of photos and gave us everything.

Writing a review about Dorka and her work is difficult because it is hard to put into words how absolutely outstanding she is! My partner and I hired to Dorka to shoot our engagement photos and wedding after she came highly recommended by a friend. As a same-sex couple, our wedding plans were a little non-conventional. As a result, we were particularly attuned to finding someone who was going to take the time to get to know us personally and truly embrace our vision. From the moment I met Dorka, I knew she was the right choice. We first met at a little coffee shop in New Orleans, and she spent more than an hour talking with us about how we met, what our wedding would be like, and what was most important to us on that day. This was before we had even signed a contract! She continued to impress me with her creativity, artistry, and professionalism throughout the entire process. She does all of this with a comfortable ease that makes taking photos with her a completely relaxed, stress-free, and fun experience. Her photography style captures moments in a way that feels raw, unposed, and spontaneous—her work is truly unique and beautiful. Dorka is no typical photographer. She is an artist and deeply dedicated to each and every project she takes on. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!
