DJ Scott Simpson is a DJ business that services the Kansas City Metro, Lawrence and Topeka areas. Scott has been very active in the wedding industry throughout the past twenty years. In fact, he played at over 1,000 weddings. After meeting with you for a consultation, he will get busy planning the wedding entertainment of your dreams. Pricing is $750 for a 4 hour event in Lawrence and $850 for a 4 hour event in KC and Topeka. Extra time is available.

Services Offered

An in person meeting will be planned the week of the wedding to talk about the details of the upcoming weekend.
On your wedding day, you have nothing to worry about because DJ Scott focuses on both timeliness and organization. Additionally, he comes fully equipped with a mixer, computer mixer controller. speakers, microphones, wireless microphone, and lights. He is quite accommodating and works with a wide variety of styles varying from jazz to hip hop. Other services couples can choose from include the following:

Great guy and great DJ!

Overall DJ Scott was a pleasure to work with! Everyone was dancing at the reception. He played a bit for everyone (the older and the younger crowd). He also handled all the audio for our wedding processional and it went flawlessly.

Can't recommend DJ Scott Simpson enough!

If you have a chance to work with Scott don’t hesitate!

Scott was such a blast to work with he made our reception so much fun and new how to keep people on the dance floor! He almost seemed like a part of the family, like the title says if you have a chance to work with him don’t hesitate he’s a wonderful guy!

Lively dancefloor, great to work with

Scott is an incredible DJ! The guests at our wedding were on the dance floor for the entire reception, which is exactly what we wanted. He's got a great selection of music and is constantly updating his selection with current music. He was so easy to work with. I am so,so glad that we hired him for our special day. I highly recommend hiring Scott Simpson for your special event.

Highly recommend!

We hired Scott through another friend’s recommendation. He created a fun atmosphere for our daughter’s wedding reception. He played lots of dance music as we requested and the special songs my daughter wanted. I would highly recommend Scott for your music needs.

Would Highly Recommend!

My husband and I hired DJ Scott for our wedding, and he did an amazing job! He was very professional and thorough when planning for the big day. He hosted the evening with the perfect amount of stage presence, and read the room incredibly well once we opened up the dance floor. Our crowd wanted to party, not have a bunch of slow dances, and Scott figured that out without me saying anything. He played music that our friends loved, and kept us dancing for almost two hours--the maximum amount of time we had to dance that night! My husband and I, as well as all of our guests, had so much fun dancing and it was all thanks to Scott's amazing talent as a DJ!

We can't put into words how amazing Scott Simpson is! We have been to several wedding with him as the DJ and he brought the house down every time. So by being so impressed by other weddings we knew we had to have Scott behind the music for our wedding and once again he showed why he is the best in the business. But not only does he play the right music at the right time but I'm not sure there is anyone better to work with. He wants your special day to be as perfect and amazing as you do! Thank you again, Scott!

As everyone else says, Scott is just perfect. He had the dance floor full from song 1 to the end of the night and made everything as easy as possible.

Scott provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. He was EXTREMELY easy to work with and is a fun guy who knows just what the crowd wants. In my opinion, Scott is the only choice for a DJ in the Lawrence area.

My dad hired Scott as the DJ for my wedding because they knew each other from Lawrence when my dad was in college. I was a little skeptical at first (before I met Scott) because my dad hired without talking to me.
We had a meeting with Scott before and he was flexible and ready to do what I wanted. He listened to me and my requests. I wanted a fair amount of country played, so I burned some CDs and he made it happen.
He also was VERY helpful in conducting the events of the night. He did the ceremony music, traditionals, and got dinner going. He knew the order and found me to make sure I was ready for each thing to happen. He was very easy to work with and paid a lot of attention to the personal details I wanted and made sure they happened!!
I would highly recommend Scott for any wedding! He is a funny guy, but will do whatever he can to make it YOUR night!
