About
I'm a professional violinist and composer who is equally at home performing indoor and outdoor weddings. Whether you wish for elegant classical music, toe-tapping fiddle tunes, or a favorite popular song ... I can help you find that perfect sound! I've performed all over the world from Carnegie Hall in New York City to the Great Hall of the Composers in Moscow. In 2006 I received a Music Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and in 2019 won the Pittsburgh Concert Society Major Auditions on solo violin.
In addition to giving weekly private violin lessons to about 30 students, I'm passionate about bringing music to all demographics. To this end, in 2010 I created Musicians With A Mission to “bring more of Pittsburgh's talented musicians into local healthcare settings.” After coordinating over a hundred performances each year at local healthcare facilities, Pittsburgh’s NPR station featured MWAM in its 2018 segment “90 Neighborhoods, 90 Good Stories.” (learn more at musicianswithamission.com)
Mr. Arrington holds a B.A in Music from Middlebury College (summa cum laude) and Master of Music degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

For outdoor weddings, I use a Fishman SA330X speaker system which adds amazing amplification while still keeping the purity of the acoustic violin sound.
If you have another musician that already comes as part of the venue package (such as a church pianist or organist), I am happy to collaborate with them.

The standard is for instrumental musicians to simply perform the vocal line of a song from the purchased sheet music. With my double skill set as a composer and violinist, I can turn your favorite song into an audible work of art! This includes a high quality audio recording, but not printed sheet music.
