We had such a great experience working with Devan and her team as our videographer. She was so easygoing, kind, and just genuinely lovely to have around on our wedding day. She made everything feel really comfortable and natural.

Devan did an amazing job shooting our wedding and turned out our sneak preview in record time. We had a lot of video game theming in our wedding and she captured that whimsy while still keeping it elevated and classy, which is such a hard line to walk. My wife and I absolutely loved having Devan as our wedding videographer! She was fun and easy to work with, super professional, and she's really great at what she does. She captured amazing footage of our wedding day that all had a very authentic, candid, and personal feel to it -- exactly what we were looking for! She's a fantastic editor, too. The teaser video she put together for us perfectly captured the vibe of our wedding and highlighted all the best moments. We are so happy we hired her!

One of my only wedding regrets is not hiring Devan sooner in the planning process, or for more time! Like many couples on wedding budgets, we didn’t originally plan for or think we needed videography, then changed our minds! As the wedding date got closer and we found out that my now-husband’s elderly grandparents wouldn’t be able to make the trip, we started to discuss recording the ceremony for them and decided that we wanted family members to enjoy the moment and not be asked to record. I started the somewhat last-minute search for a videographer and after talking to a few others, we decided to hire Devan for our special day. Devan provided us with the most beautiful, moving, cinematic-quality recordings that we watch more frequently than we ever thought we would, and that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.

We had a few conversations before the wedding, and Devan was totally down to work with us to customize the videos we wanted. We agreed on a package with a full ceremony video and a highlight video that went from getting ready at the venue through the reception grand entrance, at a totally reasonable price. I’d seen a lot of wedding videos that are heavy on BTS footage of the photographer’s shoots, and I shared that I wanted to see that but was more interested in what we couldn’t see that day…. Cocktail hour, our guests arriving, the reception area setup and guests experiencing it. Devan did all of that and struck the most perfect balance between giving us direction when needed, but us also forgetting she was there (such as the first look and other moments). She was also just a lovely, kind person to have as part of our team in sharing our day.

We received the completed videos back within a month and I was blown away with the result Friends and family commented that they could feel the emotion in the videos and that it felt like watching an artfully directed/edited short film. Her editing skills are amazing and while we did NOT think to plan any choreography for our first dance, the edited video made us look like we had killer moves. Any future children or family who watch this video will think that we had a perfect dance planned, and no one needs to know the truth! She captured so many shots that I didn’t see myself or from our photographer that all added to telling a story of a joyous day. I loved that she interwove our speeches/vows with video of us getting ready or taking our first look. And our families absolutely loved the ceremony video; all of the songs we had chosen, the speeches, etc. were clear and watching it felt like I was there again.

It’s been almost 2 years and I find myself watching both videos ALL the time. You know how people comment about never watching wedding videos? Totally not true.... I find myself occasionally wanting to re-live that experience of celebrating with all of our loved ones, or to hear our vows again, and this is embarrassing but I sometimes get emo watching them even having seen them countless times before. I can’t recommend hiring Devan Shae enough!
