I couldn’t say enough about how beautiful my flowers were for our wedding! Working with Marlene was a pleasure. She worked with me to stay within my budget, and I asked for a burgundy dahlia to be our main flower. I wanted loose and flowing bouquets, and was flexible about the rest. The flowers turned out so gorgeous! I couldn't have been happier! I highly recommend Derby Farm Flowers for your wedding and all floral needs.

We had an amazing experience with Derby Farm Flowers that completely surpassed our expectations. We had two in-person consultations with Marlene leading up to our wedding and I was so impressed by her expertise, care and attention, and it was so much fun to dream about what she was going to put together. I think it was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. We felt so confident that she heard our vision and would be able to translate it beautifully. I went in thinking we would have to do the bare minimum of flowers, but found out we were able to do even more than I hoped within our budget. The flowers were stunning. Highly recommend!

I had not planned to make flowers a major part of my wedding; I knew I wanted two show-stopping arrangements in urns for my reception, then flanking my sweetheart table, but I did not want fresh centerpieces at my tables. I also wanted a beautiful bouquet, and a few corsages and boutonnieres. I only reached out to Derby Farm in early December for my 1/21/23 wedding, and managed to have two long Zoom sessions with Marlene (we don't live local to our venue) and she and her team created everything I wanted and then some. They never tried to upsell me, or add pieces I didn't want or need-- they suggested a garland for my sweetheart table rather than repurposing my bouquet as a small centerpiece, and they were absolutely right that it looked better that way! Still, they kept everything right around my initial budget.
Marlene understood my vision immediately and uses a great software to help you visualize exactly what types of flowers and plants might go into your arrangements. I sent her some pins I had saved and we went from there.
In my photos, I told her the urns they created looked like Dutch still life paintings-- which is exactly what I wanted and didn't even say!

From the beginning, the team at Derby Farm were super welcoming and happy to listen to our needs and concerns for our wedding ceremony and reception. Despite multiple postponements due to covid, they remained flexible and professional. They were great at helping us decide what we wanted and suggesting different arrangements.

Finally, the team was phenomenal on the day. They arrived on time, set everything up beautifully and made sure everything was in its place. The arrangements were gorgeous and exactly what we had hoped for.

Derby Farms was fantastic to work with. They are so talented and created beautiful arrangements for our wedding and wedding shower. They were a pleasure to work with and I am so glad we were able to collaborate with such a special, local business.

My now husband has ordered flowers as gifts for me a couple times in the past (and I loved them!) so we decided to look into them for our wedding. We ordered my bridal bouquet, four bridesmaids bouquets, the groom's boutonniere and five groomsmen boutonnieres from Derby Farm. Marlene, Lucinda and Sonia were amazing! This shop is right up the street from our house so it was very easy to contact them and set up a consultation. They captured our vision perfectly and were able to keep pretty close to our budget. I loved my bouquet and I wish I could've kept it forever! We had to pick up our flowers the morning before the wedding and Sonia was kind enough to meet us in the early morning before they opened to allow us to make the pick up. They were very well packed and lasted all through the wedding and even a couple days afterwards they still looked beautiful. It is definitely worth the price and service to go through Derby Farm. I will continue to go through them for all my flower needs in the future!

Flowers were not in my budget at all, so a friend DIY'd all our centerpieces and bridesmaid bouquets. She didn't feel comfortable doing my bridal bouquet, so I called up Derby Flower Farm which was recommended by a friend. Lucinda took the time to listen to my vision, though we e-mailed and talked on the phone a few times I never actually met her and the staff. My bouquet just appeared at the venue in a beautiful glass vase right on time on my wedding day. They managed to create exactly what I was going for based on my pinterest board and my descriptions over the phone. I got so many compliments on my flowers, and I'm glad I sprung for a professionally-made bouquet instead of DIY-ing. The price was very reasonable for the quality of flowers and the ease of working with Lucinda and her team.

Derby Farm provided flowers for our wedding and did an amazing job! The team was very thoughtful and responsive to our needs and questions. They helped guide us on what would look good and were very polite in correctly suggesting that some of our initial ideas might not have been the best. I'm not great at imaging or creating a visual design, so they provided a lot of photos and examples, but also took control so that I didn't have describe in great details what I wanted. Our wedding was outside and we wanted the flowers to feel natural and like they belonged in the setting. Everything was gorgeous and we received tons of compliments on the flowers, especially the bouquet. Our wedding was in Connecticut but my mother lives in Arlington and Derby Farm was willing to transport everything to CT for a small fee.

Derby Farm Flowers was incredible! I knew nothing about wedding flowers when I started this process and when I saw my sister-in-law's flower budget, I was shocked to see what wedding flowers typically cost. If I was going to spend money on flowers, I wanted them to be great. Derby Farm went beyond this and made them amazing. They understood exactly what I wanted without me being able to articulate it well at all. I was going for a more rustic/whimsical look since the wedding was in my parents backyard and Barbara, Marlene, and Lucinda knew exactly how to achieve that look.

They made beautiful bouquets and corsages. They even accommodated my weird request to incorporate a dried morel into the groom's corsage (he ended up getting tons of compliments on it too!). My dad built an arbor from branches around the yard and Lucinda did an incredible job at decorating it with flowers while still maintaining the look of the arbor (and keeping costs low). For the tables, to save money I just wanted a single stem per bottle (saved bottles for a year for this and it was so worth it!). We got so many compliments on the table flowers. They were perfectly whimsical while complimenting the rest of my parents backyard. I loved that they were flowers you don't typically see at weddings, they were very unique.

Michael (my now husband) was so opposed to flowers (if it was up to him we would have had no flowers at all) but he LOVED the flowers when he saw them. He said they were extremely tasteful and he has insisted on keeping them around the house even though many have died now (3 weeks later).

I cannot recommend Derby Farm flowers highly enough. Communication is great and they met with me several times before the wedding.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS FLORIST. Barbara and Marlene were absolutely superb people to work with, have impeccable style, and are are truly artists when it comes to working with flowers. They were the most professional, organized vendors we worked with for our entire wedding. They were flexible with our budget and took a genuine interest in understanding the style of our wedding and how the flowers could enhance the overall atmosphere of the event. In our consultation, they made detailed notes about what arrangements we wanted, which flowers we liked, colors, etc. and even printed out examples of each of the flowers they included in the arrangements on the final invoice. Marlene is also skilled with headpieces and helped arrange my wedding crown for a very reasonable rate. Barbara is an artist, and thinks very thoughtfully about her pieces -- nothing is random or haphazard, each color and bloom is chosen with care.

Our guests raved about the flowers as well. We received SO many compliments on the bouquets, centerpieces, and mantel display. It truly made the wedding venue look and feel extra special and personal. I used to worry that wedding flowers can sometimes look cliche and cheesy, but Barbara and her team created absolutely beautiful, classy designs that elevated the venue.

This place is truly a gem. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!
