Nothing comes with more expectations than your wedding day. While it would be nice if this day were nothing but joy and love, I remember feeling an overwhelming amount of stress preparing for this day. I had no idea what I was doing, yet I knew that I wanted the day to be perfect, and I didn’t have any guidance. With costs exceeding our budget more and more with each vendor, decoration, and thing that we just had to have, we decided not to hire a wedding planner and take on even more costs. Cue Tina! Tina had been my friend for a couple years at this point, and was more than willing to throw herself into the deep end with me. I didn’t want to burden her since I felt like such a disorganized mess and thought I would just be a headache, but she stood by me and I’m so glad she did! We were living in the same apartment building at the time, and when I was freaking out about making a decision like choosing dresses for my bridesmaids, she would just run right over with her computer, talking through the process with me while she organized our options in a Google Doc (she used to work in project management for a large company, so she is really organized and good at this stuff!!). Perhaps the most selfless act that she contributed toward my wedding, however, was hand making all of our party favors - about 200 of them!! I dreamed up the idea for these very custom little jars that I wanted to give away at our wedding with a s’more trail mix inside, but I figured I would have no way of seeing that idea to fruition. Again, cue Tina! I remember walking into her apartment one day and seeing her with these crazy magnifying goggles on while she was tying the little bows on all my jars (I should add, crafting is another long-time hobby and skill of hers!) She put so much care into making these party favors for me, you would’ve thought that she was making them for her own wedding, and every one of them came out perfectly. I’m sure that I am forgetting to mention things because she helped me in so many ways, but I will just close by saying this: When you hire Tina, you are getting a friend. If you are thinking, “oh my gosh, planning this wedding is so stressful and I have no idea how I’m going to do this,” she’s your girl. You can shop around and try to find the perfect wedding planner - I ultimately hired someone for some short-term/ day-of wedding coordination because people urged me too (and Tina wasn’t doing this professionally yet, she was just helping me!) - and I suppose person I hired was fine, but we barely spoke, I wasn’t sure what she was even doing, and she ended up losing the straps to my wedding dress!! So there you go, you can think that you’re hiring someone great and be disappointed at the end of the day. But everything that Tina did for my wedding was done with the utmost love and care and always exceeded my expectations. I know that she will work with her clients closely to make sure they are happy every step of the way to give them the most memorable and fantastic day!

I initially reached out to Tina for day-of coordination for my daughter’s wedding but quickly upgraded to her partial planning package just two months before the big day—and I’m so glad I did. Tina was an absolute godsend. She stepped in with calm confidence, quickly got us organized, and helped bring my daughter’s vision to life with grace and precision.

Tina from Dear Moment Chicago did an incredible job for my wedding. I reached out to her regarding paper products for my wedding, and to my surprise found out she was able to offer so much more. Not only did she do my paper products, she also designed my wedding welcome sign on an arched mirror, and helped me create a photography backdrop for our Polaroid guestbook.

I originally was not going to do my own paper products and was just going to use some generic print outs on Amazon. After going back and forth, I decided to find someone who could help me with customizable printables. Dear Moment Chicago made my vision a reality. I am not a creative person, so I really appreciated the ideas Tina brought.

I was going to forego a wedding sign completely because I felt the ones I’ve seen at some weddings are really boring and plain, so I didn’t want to spend money on something I didn’t love. I told her how I really love the welcome signs on mirrors, but I didn’t know where to even start with that. She told me she would take care of it and make sure it would match the overall aesthetic I was going for. Come wedding day, the welcome sign is still one of my favorite things and it would not have been possible if I never met Tina

We also knew we wanted a non traditional guestbook and wanted something we could look back on. We wanted to do a Polaroid guestbook and would have people take photos then leave a note. I didn’t want to spend an exorbitant amount of money to get a Photo Booth, so this seemed like the best of both worlds. However, I was just going to use a plain wall as the backdrop. Again, Tina’s creative genius came into play and she said she could make a simple backdrop.

What I also really appreciate about Tina and Dear Moment Chicago is she will not pressure you into her ideas. She always listens and will do what is best for you and also what you are comfortable with.
