I had the pleasure of meeting Keeyahtay several years ago. He was the photographer for my best friends wedding, Patrick and Lisi Powers. A wedding in which I had the honor of being a groomsman for the first time! While attending weddings can always be a little stressful, being IN the wedding party is always a bit more stressful. I watched Keehaytay handle their wedding with such ease and confidence. I have never enjoyed being in front of a camera, and not for one minute was I uncomfortable with Keeyahtay… and I was just in the wedding party! When I saw how amazing the pictures came out I was even more impressed.

When I became engaged several years later, Keeyahtay was my first call. I was elated to know he was available and I have not regretted my decision even for a second. He handled my wedding with the exact same ease that he had with my friends. He not only made me, as a bride this time, feel so calm and confident, but he completely took control in helping handle the organization of the family photos and keeping everything running on schedule. My wife and I had a very large wedding with a LOT of family/friend photos… everything was captured beautifully.

We really wanted the photos of our wedding to capture feelings, not just document. I have always loved more candid style photography, overly posed or contrived photos have never been my thing. Being able to see all of the little details and the unobvious happenings are priceless. Keeyahtay captured all of these moments and so much more, he has such a unique eye. I am so thankful that he was able to photograph our weddings and share mine and Brittany’s perfect day. We will forever treasure our wedding photos and are eternally grateful. Keeyahtay is incredible, both as a photographer and as a person. He knows what shots he wants and exactly how to get them. He helps guide you through your day and will do everything he can to make you feel comfortable. Multiple guests have told me that they loved him, started following him on Instagram, and one of my cousins even let me know she made sure to get his business card. Book him. You absolutely will not be disappointed.

I am not a fan of being on camera, so I was nervous about having wedding photos taken. Keeyahtay was amazing. He's super friendly and personable, which made me feel so comfortable, and he took care to learn our family and friends' names and find out in advance which people and groups we wanted to get pictures with. He has a calm and professional presence that is reflected in our wedding photos. His ability to capture unique moments and candid shots went way above and beyond my expectations for event photography in general. Highly recommend for any kind of shoot!

I am proud to say I have know Dead Bolt Photos since they first got their start and it has been amazing to see how they have blossomed over the years! When I first got engaged in 2016 I immediately reached out to Tay to make sure he was available for our wedding in 2018- I couldn't imagine anyone else shooting our engagement photos or big day! Keeyahtay Lewis immediately understood the vision/style I was looking for for my wedding. From his arrival to departure, he was professional. I have followed his work for years and knew he would be the perfect fit for my wedding photos. I wanted more creative and artsy both candid and staged photos as well as posed standard shots. I met Keeyahtay Lewis at a function where I was DJing. He took a few pictures of me and they came out great. We got to talking and I found him to be a very laid back, cool, professional photographer. We stayed in touch and a few years later I asked him to be my wedding photographer. My wedding was on the beach and he did a great job, taking many candid shots. Except for the family photographs, where we had to pose for him, I didn't even know he was there because he is so good at getting great shots in the moment. I highly recommend Keeyahtay and Deadbolt Photos for any job!

If you don't want to be "guided" then he's your guy. More of a , act how you are and I guess I'll take a photo of it, kind of photographer. My photos are .... okay. Do I wish I choose someone else, yes. Don't bother with a list because he is more a "get what you get" type. Took two months to see any photos. Never got the color versions of the photos we asked for. Nor did we get any physical prints which were written in the contract. He's a good photographer just not for weddings...
