We booked Daylene for our fall Buena Vista, CO wedding at the Surf Hotel and couldn't be happier with the experience of collaborating with her every step of the way. During the months leading up to our big day, Daylene diligently reached out to us to plan and scout for specific locations and shots we were looking for, all mixed in with recommendations from weddings she had previously worked at our venue. On the day of the wedding itself, Daylene found the all best ways to engage and bring out the personalities of not just the bride and groom, but everyone that found themselves in front of her camera. She flawlessly kept us on time and on task and found every perfect moment to showcase the best parts of our relationship and our wedding day. The end result was a wonderful collection of a thousand photos that perfectly captured the elements of our wedding story, the venue, our friends and family, and the natural beauty of the locale. We booked Daylene to photograph our wedding, and I am so happy we did! My husband and I got married in the fall of 2020 during the pandemic. We had to move our wedding date, adjust venue and change our wedding size. Throughout it all, Daylene was unflappable, flexible and easy to communicate with. On our wedding day, she helped me feel calm and comfortable in front of the camera and beautiful. She intuitively knows what shots to capture and she explains exactly what she wants you to do to capture the best shot. She listened to what we wanted and scouted out the best spots for our photos ahead of time to maximize our shots and efficiency. This was incredibly important to us because we only had our venue for four hours and we wanted to soak up as much time as possible with our guests. Amelia was an amazing photographer to work with from understanding our vision, planning the outline of the shots we wanted to capture of the wedding day, taking the time to know the names of our family members + friends (and our 2 pups), staying organized to make sure that we could balance taking photos and hang out with our guests. She was easy-going and fun, which helped to capture amazing candid moments for us to review after our wedding. We can't stop looking at our photos!

We can't even begin to describe how amazing Amelia & Jennie were for our wedding! My Husband and I are fairly introverted, so we knew having pictures taken would be a bit stressful. When we first met with Amelia and Jennie, they put us at ease and are so ridiculously sweet. Amelia got up at 2am to hike into RMNP for our engagement photos last June, and we're still having people tell us how beautiful they are! When Amelia learned that I was anxious about portraits with my divorced parents, she went above and beyond to created a detailed timeline so it didn't feel awkward for anyone. She gives you sneak peek photos for you to see within 48 hours, and then has all of your hundreds/thousands of photos completely edited in less than 4 weeks. Her prices are reasonable and her work is so mind-blowing that flying her down to Denver (where she is a native) from her current Oregon home is ABSOLUTELY worth every cent. We hired Daylene to shoot our engagement photos in Chicago last summer and our wedding in Keystone this past July and we are so happy we did. For our engagement photo shoot, Daylene ran all around downtown Chicago with us to capture shots at our favorite places in the city. The photos were AMAZING, everyone who saw the pictures went crazy over them! Come our wedding day, Daylene and Tess arrived ready to go. Both were true professionals, easy to work with and made the entire wedding party feel comfortable while shooting. Daylene knows her stuff and made sure we stayed on schedule. She was up for an adventure and joined us rock-climbing for engagement photos, and then she and Tess worked their tails off to capture our very full wedding day. The pictures are all stunning.
