What amazing truffles if I could give more stars I would. We where so happily with the quality and how great they tasted. This is a must have.

I scoured the internet for the cheapest chocolate truffles I could find for my wedding favors, because honestly, it gets expensive buying something for 100 people. I thought these might not taste amazing on account of the price but man, I was wrong, they were delicious. As evidenced by the fact that people actually took them. My brother-in-law went around the tables at the end of the night to take what was left and only ended up with 5. I bought the caramel chocolate truffles and the lot-a-choc, cost for 100 people, two chocolates per person, total cost $100. And 1 per person would've been totally acceptable because they're quite rich.

The only snag I hit was that I bought the exact number I needed, bags are listed at 52 chocolates per bag so I bought 2 of each thinking I'd have a couple leftovers. It turned out my caramel bag was 6 chocolates short and the chocolate one was 4 short. I emailed the company and they immediately rush shipped me what I was short on, plus some extras. Great customer service. I would let them know when buying that you need the exact amount for wedding favors. Or it might just have been an off-day for the guy counting chocolates, but honestly they were so nice and quick in rectifying it that it doesn't prevent me from recommending them whole-heartedly.

We gave gourmet chocolates in beautiful gift boxes for our anniversary/wedding favors. They were delicious. Dan's have so many flavors to choose from also. The delivery time is out of this world. You get your order exactly when you want it. Let's say you just want standard shipping, well get ready because it's coming within a day or two...trust me...and we were in the middle of a snow storm when I ordered without paying extra fees. I was pleasantly pleased with Dan's Chocolates.

First off, the chocolates are great, really delicious and beautifully made The prices are awesome, as well. They are gluten-free, too. We ordered early , and we were glad we did because there was a shipping error. However, the company responded to our e-mail complaint quickly and shipped us the correct product right away. We had our complete and correct order within 12 hours of our bringing it to the attention of the company. We were very happy with our dealings with them.

I want everyone to know about Dan's Chocolates. I knew I wanted to do favors, and I knew I wanted them to be edible. That being said, I also knew I didn't want to spend tons of money on them. I searched the internet for awhile before stumbling across this gem.

They sell bulk truffles in a large multitude of flavors. $19.99 for 63 truffles. I bought six cases total, and put two truffles in clear cellophane bags I found online, put a little thank you tag on it, and tied them with ribbon. Total cost was well under $1 per favor.

I was worried because the price seemed too good to be true. However, the truffles were delicious. We went with milk chocolate and dark chocolate. They are an average truffle size, with an amazing crunchy outer shell and a melt-in-your mouth center. We had some favors left on the tables, but not many!

Dan's Chocolates is definitely worth considering for a delicious, fancy looking, yet affordable favor option. They also sell pre-packaged favors, but they are way more expensive. If you're willing to put a little work into it, it's definitely a great deal!

The chocolates arrived as promised and the taste of the chocolate is good. The truffles have a semi-hard shell and a soft interior. Communication with the vendor was easy and they were very responsive to my questions. The only negative remark that I have about the chocolates is that that they were smaller than I anticipated (hence the 4 stars in value) however that did not prevent them from meeting my overall needs as wedding favors.

Great, inexpensive truffles.

Purchased truffles for my wedding from Dan's Chocolates in August 2014. The truffles tasted great and came perfectly on time. Easy to order. Several choices for truffles. Got a free holiday gift from Dan's for being a customer.

Note:
(1) Order a little more than you need. A few of the truffles came broken. While they tasted great, we couldn't serve them to guests.
(2) There's no way to sample the fresh truffles. The individually wrapped truffles are different, and much worse. We sampled the wrapped truffles, sampled them with family -- no one liked them, but decided to take our chances because the price was right. Luckily the fresh truffles are great.

I have ordered from Dan's several times over the past 18 months. The truffles themselves are very good. The problem is that lately their customer service SUCKS! The substitute product without letting you know and then make you jump through hoops to get it returned or money back. 12 days it took them to refund my money once they got the truffles back 12 days!!! The last straw was my last order. I sent in the order and expected it within 3 days as usual. The day comes; nothing. I check my email; nothing. I contact them and was sent an email stating my address was wrong. WHAT?? No phone call, no email, no notice at all, and it's now 6 days from the date of my order and the date they took the money out of my account!! I gave them my address AGAIN and wait. No reply, no letting me know it was all good. So I call them. She tries to tell me they've been waiting to send my order until the milk chocolate truffles are done. Huh?? She says they will overnight them. Next day, nothing. 2 days later, they show up and they are the wrong milk chocolate truffles!!!! It's better to go some place else until they get back some quality customer service.

I have ordered from this company several times. In the beginning it was fine and orders came with no problem.

The first time I had a problem though, I found out just how bad their customer service is.

You have to email them with customer service problems as they won't take them over the phone, which is time consuming and somewhat lame I think.

They had shipped me the butter white chocolate truffles instead of the 'volleyball style' truffles I had ordered. When they finally got back to me after I sent THREE emails, she said the 'volleyball' style is no longer available so they sent the butter ones.

I ordered 1 milk, 1 dark, and 1 white so they would all look the same for the occasion, and the butter one's don't look at all like the others now, and it was a total waste of money all the way around.

IF YOURE GOING TO DISCONTINUE AN ITEM, TAKE IT OFF THE WEBSITE.

IF YOURE GOING TO MAKE A SUBSTITUTION, CALL THE CUSTMER AND MAKE SURE THATS WHAT THEY WANT, or do they want a refund! I am out almost $100 now with the wasted truffles and the expidited shipping, and they have no intention of making it right.

Its 10 days after my purchase, and they still have the white chocolates on their website listed for purchase!

POOR POOR Customer service Dan's!!!
