When my now husband and I thought about the perfect place to have a wedding, we thought of Dano's Heuriger -- set against the beautiful backdrop of Seneca Lake and paired with the most exquisite and unique food/wine the area has to offer; it was a no-brainer. We wanted something intimate, personal to us and offered beautiful scenery. Sure enough, we couldn't have asked for a more magical, fairytale wedding day. Not only is the outdoor space (note: we had a large tented reception) absolutely breathtaking, but the staff at Dano's did everything to make sure our day was flawless. They helped us customize the entire mouthwatering menu (note: our guests said it was the best food they ever had at a wedding!) and truly made our day so special with great service and professionalism. Big shoutout to Dano and his talented wife Karen for everything!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Dano's Heuriger June 2017, and it was the perfect venue for us. The size of the restaurant was just right for our group of 74 guests - for a smaller wedding like ours, I was worried about having a too-large venue that would make the crowd seem sparse, and this was not at all an issue. The restaurant sits on a grassy expanse overlooking Seneca Lake, which provided a stunning backdrop to our wedding ceremony that we had on their lawn. Last but not least, the food was wonderful - I especially enjoyed the haddock with tomato and root vegetables, spaetzle, and all of our cocktail appetizers - lamb pops, chilled pea soup, beet-cured gravlax on cucumber, and cabbage strudel. The desserts were also excellent - my favorites were the chocolate torte and apple strudel. This is definitely not your average disappointing wedding food! Karen from Dano's is incredibly warm and friendly, and so easy to work with. Highly recommend this restaurant and venue!

Dano's Heuriger on Seneca is a Viennese bistro that serves a great collection of Austrian dishes. However, they can do so much more! For my wedding, Karen (one of the co-owners) worked closely with my husband and me to create an extensive menu consisting of vegan, vegetarian, and gluton free cocktale-style foods and desserts. While everything was delicious, some food that really made an impression on the guests were the sun dried tomato goat cheese tart, Swiss Chard Tart with gruyere, currants, and pinenuts, Polenta stuffed mushroom with gorgonzola, and red onion marmalade, and the artichoke, goat cheese and leek in puff pastry.

Dano's was responsible for making enough food and desserts for about 180 people. For the amount of effort Karen put into working with us, the amount of food, and the effort Karen and her staff put into making the food, bringing it to our venue, and all the work her waitstaff did, the cost was worth every penny - $3610.00
