Sharón Steinmann comes from a strong tradition of candid documentary photography. During her 11 year career on staff at several newspapers, she perfected her skills capturing storytelling moments as they happened, often working quickly and like a fly on the wall.

Dahlia Photo brings a similar approach to your wedding day. For large weddings, uses a team approach to document one of the most meaningful days in your lives, employing a second photographer, also from a photojournalism background. This way, every angle is explored and no important moment is lost.

Sharón Steinmann is an award-winning and nationally recognized photojournalist, and has dedicated her life to visual storytelling. She is a California native and has traveled on assignment throughout Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. She speaks fluent Spanish.

She earned a B.A. in anthropology from The University of California at Berkeley. She has worked for newspapers in California, Washington state, and Texas. Most recently, she worked as a staff photographer at the Houston Chronicle for nearly four years. She is available for weddings accross the US but has a larger presence in California, Texas and Colorado.
