Seriously, I have no idea how this girl does all that she does.

For context, my husband and I had a wedding with 100 attendees, a $30k budget, and about 1.5 years to plan. We wanted our wedding to have a backyard wedding feel, with emphasis on delicious food and drinks, plus some typical modern wedding things like a photo booth, lawn games, and a DJ/dance floor.

I had no prior experience putting on an event of this size, but as far as weddings go, this seemed pretty small. When I started planning, I naively believed that I could probably handle most of the details myself on top of a fairly demanding full-time job. My husband and I don't live in San Diego though, so we knew we wanted a wedding coordinator who could be more involved in the planning process (as opposed to hiring someone as a day-of coordinator). We chose Samantha's full-service planning package because of that.

We went with Samantha because it was immediately clear from our first few conversations that she is incredibly organized and has an awesome attention to detail, and she proved that time and time again throughout the planning process. She helped us ideate about what we wanted our wedding to be, and offered options or things she'd seen previously when we asked. She kept us on track with regular emails and phone calls, and sent us really helpful personalized checklists. She kept our timeline up to date (I think we ended up having about 17 iterations). She came with me to my vendor appointments when I came to town. Most importantly, she has the experience to ask the questions that we hadn't even considered. How long do each of the vendors need to set up their space? Do we have access to the venue for that time? If you use the same chairs for the ceremony and reception, how will the chairs get from one place to the other? How do you communicate seating arrangements? Keeping track of all these details is hard because there's just so many of them, but Samantha took so much of that off of our minds. I really felt that I could trust her to help me not let something slip through the cracks, and that gave me so much relief on the day of, and space to enjoy everything.

Hiring Samantha was our #1 best decision. Looking back on it, I don't think we could have pulled this wedding off without her. Thank you so much Samantha!

I would book Samantha & CURRENT again in a heartbeat. Our timeline, ceremony location, and reception set-up all changed three days before the wedding and she handled it flawlessly. So calming for us and so helpful. I literally left piles of decorations in an empty venue at noon on the day of my wedding and came back to a spectacular party at 4pm (45 minutes earlier than we expected to be there...oops). She really handled all of the unexpected changes like a pro, letting me and my husband just enjoy the day. In the lead up to the event she was easy to communicate with, very responsive, and worked well with all of our vendors. I was living in a different city for most of the planning process and didn't have any trouble scheduling time to meet or talk either by phone or on the rare occasion I was in town. There are a lot of options in San Diego, and if you're considering hiring Samantha, DO IT! She made a major event a lot easier, and the wedding was fantastic

I attended a destination Bachelorette weekend run by CURRENT and let me tell you, it was unforgettable! As an Event Coordinator I have high standards and they were exceeded at every turn. From the very first, adorable email to the moment we went back to the airport, every detail was handled and every need anticipated. Our agenda was clear, the activities exciting, the vendors progressional, the accommodations beyond compare, the custom cocktails delicious, and the decor to die for. I’ve never seen more Instagram worthy vignettes in my life! Truthfully, it was one of the most wonderful weekends of my life and CURRENT managed it all with ease and fun. I could not recommend this company more!

I attended a destination bachelorette party that Samantha planned and executed. Wow! She is incredibly thoughtful and creative. Even the smallest details were thought out and personalized to fit the bride's style. (The watercolor signs she created were definitely my favorite!) The weekend was action packed but perfectly timed. We did a lot – from sightseeing to paddleboarding to dancing downtown – but it never felt like too much. Everyone had an absolute blast. Most importantly, the bride was able to kick back and truly enjoy every moment because she knew Samantha had it all covered.

The bachelorette party I attended was an entire weekend long. The decorations were beautiful, tasteful and personal (HANDMADE!!) All of us ladies had a blast with the itinerary that was set and the food was phenomenal. Samantha handled all of the details professionally and was just an overall badass! Started from scratch since it was going to be on her property, in the MOUNTAINS. So imagine that unpaved, one lane, dirt path. Samantha was always 5 steps ahead with her planning. I was the Officiant at my friend's wedding and working with Samantha was an absolute joy. In the months leading up to the wedding, she checked in with me multiple times to offer up her help if needed and communicated any details about the wedding that I needed to know to incorporate into the ceremony. Samantha taking care of all the little details like this really saved the bride a ton of stress and took a huge weight off of her shoulders. On the day of the wedding, Samantha never let the ball drop once. Every detail looked perfect and all the guests had an amazing time. I would work with Samantha again in a heart beat!

It is rare that you find someone who is both a master creative and a logistics goddess. Samantha at Current Event Design and Planning truly blew my mind from beginning to end. I gave her a general idea of what I wanted for my bachelorette party and she designed the weekend to a tee. She put together a tropically themed bachelorette weekend that accounted for many flight schedules and overnight logistics, a custom-made confetti filled balloon arch and hand-painted watercolor drink menus and decor, a professional photo shoot with my ladies, a red Mustang convertible to soak up the sun in, preset menus at restaurants for ease, a party bus night on the town, 6 giant blow-up floaties during the beach day, a group paddleboarding experience, a scavenger hunt, and so much more. Truly, this was the best weekend of my life, and I am so thrilled that I've selected her for my upcoming wedding as well. Hands down the best decision I made. Book her. You will be so thankful you did.

My husband and I initially thought we could plan the wedding ourselves, but panic settled in as our date crept closer. We found Samantha 5 months prior to our wedding, & SO glad we did! We met with two others, but I felt immediately drawn to her warm personality.
When we signed the contract, she immediately got down to work and hashed out every single detail, idea, thought, and reservations I had. We were going to have our wedding on our property, so everything was being done from scratch, so we knew it'd be a huge project.
Samantha is very professional & works hard. She constantly checked in with me & members of the wedding party who were in charge of things to keep us on track. She also found the best deals & put together comparisons between companies. What I appreciated most about her though was her genuine concern about my well-being. I had been going through some things and she was there to lend an ear or a hug. I feel like she made sure my sanity was still intact!
Our wedding day was beautiful & nearly flawless. From all the weddings I had been to, I don't recall guests paying much attention to the vendor thank you's, but when we thanked Samantha, our guest were cheering and hollering. She deserved it!
At the end of the night, my husband and I knocked out. Waking up in the morning, we were happy but dreading to see what mess was left behind. To our surprise, there wasn't much for us to clean up! Guests that stayed late told us that Samantha and her husband stayed pretty late to help clean up and organize things. I couldn't be more thankful!
From thought to execution, Samantha really perfected it all. The communication is there, she's a problem-solver, & she thinks ahead! Before her, I was only prepared for a quarter of it all. Her lists and thoroughness prevented mishaps & everything ran smoothly.
I could go on about how great she is. Bottom line is this: I could not recommend a better wedding coordinator. Samantha is a miracle worker & a Godsend!
