Sharene Neidig is the venue coordinator and she was so professional, caring and willing to walk the extra mile to provide what it was requested. She worked with us form day one to the day of the wedding. The wedding crew were fabulous, they also walked the extra mile to provide excellent service. Overall if you want your event to be remember as one of the best weddings of the year, the Crown Plaza Kansas City is the perfect venue.

Crowne plaza helped my dream wedding becoming a reality! Sharene is an amazing coordinator who was there making sure everything went smoothly, I worked with her for over a year prior to my wedding and she made me feel like I was the only one getting married. The staff in unbelievable! So incredibly friendly and helpful. There was not one issue with the wedding, the views were spectacular. They literally made every request I had a reality. I would recommend this place a million times over. Food was incredible.

Every aspect of my wedding was perfect thanks to the staff at Crowne Plaza! All of my guests were so impressed by the ballroom, decor, catering, hotel rooms and customer service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone getting married in the KC area!

This is the perfect venue for having both the wedding ceremony and the reception. The two adjoining rooms; the spacious Starlight Ballroom and large meeting room (Salon D), allow for a lot of flexibility in set up. We had the ceremony in the ballroom then had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres for an hour in Salon D while the ballroom was set up for the reception. We had 125 guests and had plenty of room. Salon D could also be set up for the ceremony then guests could move immediately to an already set up ballroom. The staff is very professional, warm and friendly, and always available, they were always smiling and helpful. We got rave reviews on the food from our guests, dinner was served hot and delicious. We also had hot sandwiches and chips served at about 10 pm which were much appreciated. The event planner Sharene is the best, we really enjoyed working with her in the planning stages. She was very accommodating and made sure the event flowed smoothly from start to finish. The view of Kansas City from both rooms is fantastic, a wonderful way to show off the city to out-of-towners. Barney Allis Plaza, Kauffman Center, and the Power & Light District are all within easy walking distance for outdoor pictures between the ceremony and reception. We walked to the Kauffman for a fabulous photo backdrop. Crowne Plaza is the perfect place for a downtown KC wedding event.

We L.O.V.E.D our stay and wedding at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Kansas City Downtown. The staff including Sharene Neidig, Crystal Derickson, Natalia and Andrew (Banquets), Mitchell (Shuttle driver), Angie (Housekeeping) were impeccable. Sharene easily made us feel truly comfortable while planning a wedding from afar (not being based in Kansas City). Her organization and execution skills are out-of-this-world! We felt listened and heard throughout the whole process. She understood our vision for a simple, elegant day. We had our dream wedding thanks to Sharene, Crystal and Andrew. Our wedding breakfast was at the Salon D and our wedding was held at the beautiful Ballroom. Sharene and Crystal made us & our guests feel welcome and at home. Any news or hiccup that came along the way - they addressed promptly and with grace. We are deeply appreciative to these people and Crowne Plaza KC Downtown for making our wedding day special and a dream come true. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! It is a gorgeous place with incredible customer service! We highly recommend this place to stay for a night or to have a wedding!!!

What an exceptional place to hold a wedding and reception. Our guests continued to comment about the awesome view from the 28th floor.

Their staff was professional, the food was great and the value for all that is included in their wedding package could not be beat.

Our wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza Downtown was everything we hoped it would be. The wedding coordinator and staff were great with the details and very accomodating to our needs. We had close to 200 guests and received numerous compliments on the food and the overall look/feel of the event. We had a lot of guests from out of town who appreciated the convenience of us having our reception at a hotel.

This is not your typical hotel ballroom!! It's on the 28th Floor with full glass views on both sides. The sunset was so pretty! A nice modern feel, and you don't need to do much decorating b/c the room is already beautiful. We did some nice floral arrangements for the tables, some cute stuff for the gift table and that was it. And did I mention the food? No rubber chicken served here! The food was delicious.

Our wedding guests will be staying at the Crowne plaza in downtown Kansas City. They are the only hotel that seemed to truly listen and figure out how many rooms I needed to block for the big day. They are very timely and get back to you right away. 2 thumbs up!

We did our reception at in the ballroom and it was a great set up for the cocktail hour, dinner and dance. Libby Huff was our contact and was wonderful to work with. They also gave us a discount on rooms.
