Amazing. No other words to describe it. Irwin provides a truly personalized experience. He helped my husband design my custom engagement ring, then helped us to pick two truly beautiful wedding bands into which we incorporated some inherited diamonds. My husband said he wasn't sure about going to a private jeweler because it seemed out of his price range, but after working with Irwin he will never go anywhere else.

Irwin is the best. He designed the most beautiful wedding ring and wedding band. When we went to him we had some ideas, and he not only incorporated them but enhanced them. Many of our guests said that they were the most beautiful rings and wedding bands they had ever seen.

Also, when we asked whether the largest diamond in his design should be larger--which we knew would cost a lot more money--he said no. It was not necessary. And when we picked them up he was right!!

LOVE this jewelry shop because they are actual jewelers and artists! My husband purchased my unique engagement ring somewhere else, but Creative Goldsmiths was able to make a wedding band that matches PERFECTLY. People think it's a set! We also purchased my husband's band here as he wanted a "designer" band that is only carried by certain jewelers. Creative Goldsmiths really took care of us! Highly recommend!

Irwin the owner is a delightful man. He does exquisite work. We found my wife's engagement ring at an antique jewelers in Delaware. We spent quite a while looking for a wedding band that would go well with this very detailed and antique looking ring. We had our doubts about being able to find a ring that would be able to look like a match set with her engagement ring. Irwin had us in for a consultation and we told him what we wanted and he gave us a fair price for a ring that looks perfect with the antique engagement ring. If you want a custom piece of jewelry made or are looking for someone who will take care of you, I would recommend Irwin.

When my daughter showed me the engagement ring that Creative Goldsmiths had designed, she couldn’t have been happier. The artist had taken the three diamonds she and her fiance provided and created a lovely and unique setting. They were absolutely thrilled. Only a few weeks later, however, the stones had loosened to the point that they spun between her fingers. She took the ring back and they tightened the setting, only to break a piece of the ring in the process. Creative Goldsmiths fixed the piece they had broken, but not long after that, the stones had loosened again. Irwin at Creative Goldsmiths said they could “shore up” the setting to make sure the stones stayed put. My daughter agreed, but under the condition that the appearance of the ring, which she loved, did not change. Instead of honoring her request, CG made the prongs thicker and taller, and erased part of the etched design on the side of the ring. By this point, after making numerous trips on the bus from her home in downtown DC to CG’s Bethesda location, my daughter was in tears. The beautiful ring that her fiancé proposed to her with was, with these changes, in her eyes, a substantially different piece. Not only was there a breach of trust and poor workmanship, but Irwin treated my daughter as if she were unreasonable (she was not), and refused to make it right. In the end, what should have been the beautiful experience of having a custom-made ring was absolutely ruined, to the point where my daughter can’t even look at the ring, much less wear it, without bursting into tears. We now have to find another jeweler (at additional expense) to try to restore the ring to its original state, if that is even possible. In summary, our experience with Creative Goldsmiths could not have been worse, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
