Liz is a gem!! We found her through my brother, and she rocked our world. she not only made a delicious cake, but a fabulous brownie bar with toppings to go with it. She loved our creative ideas, and was with us every step of the way. We love Liz and she is the sweetest woman from the beginning when we had our tasting with her. We are so glad we chose her and would pick her again every time!!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Liz at Cream of the Cakes! I met Liz at a wedding fair at the Landmark Center and set up a tasting! My fiance and I were blown away! Not only was the cake delicious, but she also offered a variety of flavors that many bakeries didn't. Her presentation at the tasting was impressive and we had a very enjoyable experience! We went home and canceled the rest of our tasting appointments with other bakeries because we knew we had to go with Liz! We had caramel apple and toffee chip as our wedding cake flavors and our guests loved the cakes as much as we did. Our tiered bride and groom cake looked absolutely amazing- exactly how we had requested. Our other two cakes were beautifully decorated sheet cakes. Many guests said "best wedding cake ever" and they loved having fun fall flavors instead of traditional wedding cake flavors. Our bartender at the venue even said he doesn't usually try the wedding cakes, but when he heard our flavors, he had to get a slice of each and it was the best cake he's ever had (and he's been the bartender to a lot of weddings!). Thank you so much Liz for the wonderful cakes and the amazing experience! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cake for any occasion!

Best kept secret in the twin cities when it comes to wedding cakes!! After tasting her cake at a relative's wedding we decided to add her to the list of vendors to check out. Prior to meeting with Liz we had tastings with two large, popular vendors. Liz absolutely blew them out of the water. The tasting took place at her beautiful house in Lakeville, MN. When we arrived the dining room was set for 6 guests just incase we brought friends or family with us. Prior to the tasting Liz provided us with her list of cakes and we were able to choose the ones we would most like to try. On the day of the tasting not only did she have those available but she also added an extra that she thought we might enjoy. She gave a very professional presentation about herself and her business prior to starting a very fun tasting! Liz spent plenty of time with us reviewing the types of cake we wanted, deciding on the details of the design, and coming up with a plan for how much cake would be needed. One worry I had going in was that since it was a business of one individual and the meeting was in her home we would have to worry about cleanliness. Not a worry. The cakes are baked in a nearby commercial kitchen so cleanliness is not a concern. Liz is also clearly a very clean and perfectionistic person so I left with no worries in that domain whatsoever. Also, since this is a small business Liz limits the number of cakes she makes and provides each couple with plenty of personal attention, something that lacked greatly from the other vendors we met with. On the day of the wedding the cake was delivered on time and was absolutely gorgeous! The guests raved about how great it tasted. Many guests told us that it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted and we would have to agree! We could not have been happier with our experience! Don't hesitate, reach out to her asap!

Liz did a wonderful job with our cake. I have an egg allergy, and she was the only baker I could find in the twin cities who would 1) do a reasonably priced egg-free cake and 2) could create a delicious egg-free cake. Everyone who had the cake couldn't believe there was no eggs. It truly was delicious! She was also incredibly sweet to work with. I would definitely recommend her to other brides!

We did cupcakes and a cutting cake for our wedding. I have a Dairy Allergy- so I was very hesitant with some of the other vendors we looked at. The other places had NO substitute for me at all, or the ones with less dairy tasted awful.
We went to Liz's house and it was SO much FUN! I went with my mother in law and my mother. But she made all sorts of cake and cupcakes with NO dairy :) also a couple with dairy. In my opinion they tasted way better than the ones with dairy, and I will tell you I have my moments of weakness for dairy.

She is a one woman show so sometimes it took a few days for her to get back to me. But the cake was absolutely beautiful! Everything was so delicious! The cake and all the cupcakes were dairy free, so that was high on my importance list, so she does Specialize in diet restrictions. But she does make wonderful cakes with dairy too. I would love to use her again in the future for a birthday cake or baby shower etc.

She has such a passion for what she does and it definitely shows!
