So Much Flavor

I have had their delicious food on a few occasions and they are a for sure standout in the BBQ catering space. The meats are cooked to perfection and if that wasn't enough... the sides, omg are friggen awesome!
The only thing I dislike about them is no restaurant I can go to when I have that craving!

Excellent food, excellent staff

I am a wedding coordinator and worked with the team from Cowabunga BBQ for one of my clients weddings at Valhalla Tahoe. They were amazing. The team was friendly and beyond helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. The guests all raves about the ribs, brisket, chicken, and mac & cheese. I look forward to working with them again in the future, and if you’re looking for a caterer I highly recommend you choose Cowabunga BBQ.

Cowabunga BBQ

I can not say enough good things about this place. People at our wedding could not stop asking who we had for food and wanted their contact info!!! They were beyond AMAZING and it was very very appreciated by us that their prices were very reasonable and not trying to take you for what you got. The service, the team everything was above and beyond! Food was out of this world delicious!!

“I do” BBQ. Definitely a great family owned business with excellent food & service.

Cowabunga BBQ was absolutely amazing! Talk about service, they did an excellent job. The food spoke for itself, and all of our guests couldn’t stop talking about it! I would highly recommend them! I know I will be using their services again in the future!

Amazing people and delicious food!

To say that the staff at cowabunga bbq are what you need for the perfect catering service is an understatement. Their flexibility and ability to adjust was a real winner for my husband and I's wedding reception. The food was absolutely phenomenal as they were very open and flexible to what we wanted to be served to our guests. The bbq was the obvious highlight of the show with there being pulled pork and bbq chicken that were cooked exactly how it was hoped to be. The sides were also fantastic with the green beans and bacon being my personal highlight. One thing that was also good to see that most wouldn't think about was at the end of the event, there wasn't much food left over which shows that they do an excellent job at gauging how much food is needed for events so that it doesn't feel like the guests didn't like it or that an abundance of food had gone to waste. I would happily hire them again for catering any future events that we could possibly hold in that area.

So good, I'm still dreaming about it

Oh my goodness! The food was absolutely delicious! My husband, mother-in-law and I only went to one tasting (total) and it was so good that we booked then and there. In the months leading up to the wedding, I cannot tell you how excited I was to be able to have the BBQ again!! And everyone I spoke with at the wedding was so emphatic about how delicious the food was. Great food for a great price!!

Took money after Covid ended our wedding

Unfortunately our wedding was canceled due to Covid then when we asked about our deposit he ignored our emails. A time that was tough for many financially felt overlooked and it hurt us a lot. My SO is also a veteran so we were excited to support a veteran owned business.

Never responded back

We were SO excited to find Cowabunga BBQ to cater our wedding in November!! It was exactly what we were looking for. I contacted them and they immediately sent the menu and what I needed to give them. I got everything prepared and sent them a response and it's been 2 months and after emailing 3 different times (including an email that asked if they could just message me back if they were unable to cater my wedding so I could start my search for something else). I didn't receive any response back. I'm highly disappointed in the lack of professionalism. :(
