I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host their wedding in downtown San Antonio. The building itself is one of the smaller hotels on the riverwalk, but they have something no one else does: their event room opens into a stone courtyard directly on one of the quieter spots on the riverwalk. We chose them based on that set up, knowing that if it rained we'd still have a great view. Luckily it didn't. Our guests we're able to sit outside or inside and still be a part of the festivities. I worked with several staff members throughout the planning process. I live in VA, so I had to plan everything from halfway across the country. When I first contacted Kali for more information, I was blown away by her quick responses and willingness to customize their menus and packages to fit our tastes and budget. Tracy was very helpful in the interim and made great suggestions about the decor, lighting and flow of the evening. But the service we received from Traycie on the days leading up to the wedding was beyond anything I imagined. The rooms were set up beautifully. We chose to add draping, transforming a hotel dining room into an elegant and inviting hall. Our decorator (not provided by the hotel) didn't set a few things up how we had requested. And Traycie (the hotel's event manager) was there to save the day! She and her team went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we asked for. We felt like they were there just to take care of us. The hotel made up a special menu for us and it was executed to perfection. During dinner there was even a surprise video made by one of our family members. The staff set it up in minutes without hesitation. At the end everything, the service from Traycie, Zach and the rest of the event team was what made the night so spectacular. From the valets to the front desk to cleaning crew and the GM, every single person we encountered was the epitome of kindness and professionalism. 5 stars is not enough! Thank you! -N&L

Kali Measures is the best wedding planner i could have ever asked for. My whole experience was stress free. She took care of everything and answered all my question, since my wedding was the first wedding I've ever been to. The venue was absolutely breathtaking. The food was so good. I had the wedding of my dreams.

Kali and the rest of the staff at the Courtyard by Marriott Riverwalk are amazing! My family and I really enjoyed ourselves and it's all because of the staff. They took care of everything and were very prompt. I must've sent a hundred emails to Kali and she always responded promptly. They personalized everything, I only had a month to plan the wedding and had to plan it from 1300 miles away. I told her everything I was looking for and she made it happen. I couldn't have gotten everything planned if it wasn't for Kali. I am greatly appreciative of everything and if my husband and I are ever stationed in San Antonio I will make sure everyone stays here!!! Thank you so much again for everything!

Pros: First let me say that our wedding planning process upon moving to SA last year, was rough. A new city, no contacts, and a hubby working away, I was on my own. When our plans fell through we were truly in a bind and I had been on a couple hotel visits for prospective venues. Everything about our situation changed when I went to the Courtyard Marriott. Not an overly large hotel, it is quaint, clean, and staffed impeccably. I was blown away, by the smiles, and the hospitality. From the valet who are great guys, to the front desk, yay Amy!!!! It was an experience. All I can say is they saved us. From crunching numbers and weighing the cost of DIY wedding venue, vs what they could offer, there was no question who to go with. I still did most decorations but the staff, led by a woman who I truly consider a friend, Kali Measures. What a brilliant and soulful person she is, and the ladies that assisted in making our day wonderful....there aren't enough words. It was magic from start to finish, and our guests felt happy, satiated, taken care of, and respected. Everyone had a great time all weekend. Great room rates, helpful hints on where to visit and things to do, always willing to help. Our dinner was incredible as well!!!! Rave reviews on it! We made the exact right choice. Con: There was some miscommunication about a few decorations being disposed of, namely several roses that I purchased myself that morning. Upon speaking to management about the confusion we received a heartfelt apology. I desired to keep my flowers, and was very upset they were gone at the end of the reception. I would encourage staff to always make a last attempt to make certain a couples wishes. It's always a busy day for everyone but none more so than a frazzled bride.

Our Wedding was really beautiful. Everything was well planned and managed. We were happy as well as our guests. The food was amazing and the service was on point. I will highly recommend The courtyard at Marriott.
