We got our wedding cake and cupcakes from Confections of a Cake Lover, and it was an amazing experience. Sarah was friendly, helpful, and organized from the get-go. Our tasting was a blast, the cake was both stunning to look at and delicious, and the cupcakes received rave reviews from all of our guests. I would definitely recommend getting your wedding cake (or any other cake) here!

We ordered over 200 cupcakes for our wedding and they were delicious and so moist! They have a great variety of flavors to choose from too! Definitely recommend!

We asked her to do a tasting about a year before our wedding and we instantly knew that her cupcakes were not only beautiful but delicious, moist, and something very special. The CCL team was very accommodating with delivering our cake and cupcakes at the time we needed them to arrive at our venue. The display was impeccable including arranging our display cake topper flowers and decorating the cupcake stand with ribbon in our wedding colors. Our guests had many compliments including how beautiful and delicious the moist cupcakes were! They did a beautiful job with our wedding cake. It was exactly what we pictured. The taste testing was very nice also, especially being able to bring home the left over cupcakes for family members to try as well. Responded in a timely manner and the cake was delivered without any problems and plenty early. Price was a little more than I had planned to spend, but was definitely worth it.

We ordered 220 cupcakes and a 30 serving wedding cake. The cupcakes were adorable but taste was okay. I trusted my family and fiance to try them out for me and, while I would choose Sarah again, I don't know that we would go with the same flavors. Ganache cupcakes were dry and the peanutbutter ones melted everywhere. Our wedding cake tasted great (chocolate with peanut butter) but the design, while simple, was pieced together in uneven strips at the bottom and it seemed like I could have done a better design job.

If looking to utilize this bakery for a wedding, brides beware.

It actually started out with a pretty terrible tasting experience (and evolved much further from there). We asked to compare the vanilla bean vs. the almond vs. the white cake flavors. The baker insisted we try flavors that we knew we were not interested in “because there isn’t a difference between the 3”. That should’ve been the first red flag, but we decided to go ahead with the tasting. In order to try the 3 we actually wanted to compare, we agreed to add three random flavors we didn’t care about for an additional fee.

Skip to the date of the tasting. The baker didn’t “have time to go to the liquor store, so imagine this cake (which we didn’t even want to try and paid extra for) with alcohol”. The cakes were still cold from the freezer and the aesthetic overall was not what we were going for, and we felt rushed out by a birthday party coming in despite booking our tasting time months ahead. So we paid the extra fees for the tasting, received the quote, and ultimately decided to not book her- so no further contact was made.

Well, the wedding day shows up and guess who arrives with a cake? Not only that, but she made quite the scene in front of the baker who we actually decided to go with. After calling back to the shop, she realized we never put down a deposit or booked with her and luckily left. I’m still intrigued to know what that cake looked like and what flavor she chose considering we never contacted her after the tasting.

Overall, just very unprofessional- so we wanted to warn any couple considering working with her. Would not recommend!
