Coborns is a great place for catering! They know how to take care of their customers and are very professional! Their food was amazing and we had so many compliments from our guests!

Got a lovely lilies from them. I had them spray them blue to match my wedding colors! I brought in my own vases to use and they filled them wonderfully!

She wasn't in business when I got married but she's made ever other special occasion cake I've needed for the past 3 years. She has a variety of flavors to suit even the pickiest cake persons needs. I also purchased a Sugar free cake from her for one on co-workers who is a diabetic. It was fabulous. I recommend her to everyone I know.

Cake was ok but nothing exceptional

We worked with Dana to have our wedding cake made. She met with us and made us two delicious sample cakes based on the design we wanted. We ended up with her chocolate fudge cake with the chocolate ganache...so good!

Her prices were very fair and her cake tasted so much better than the bigger bakeries we tried. Our guests raved about the way the cake tasted! She delivered it on time with no issues.

Communication was difficult, but everything was signed and sealed in time for the wedding.

I will say that the final product was not the best looking cake. Our design was very simple and the cake sort of looked schmooshed or like it was melting. The frosting was done unevenly and you could see the seams between the layers of cake.

In the end, the cake was not the center of attention at the event and we had a grand time. Like I said, our guests loved eating it because it tasted WONDERFUL and we did not break the bank on it either.

If the asthetics are really, really important to you, I would have her do a trial run for you that is even bigger than the sample cake or else I would look elsewhere.

Coborns has been in the grocery business for DECADES and probably sold countless cakes in that time. The ladies I dealt with in the bakery dept were very sweet and east to work with. The cake however, was a near disaster. It was crooked, the frosting was falling off, looked nothing like the inspiration, we had to dismantle it to prevent it from falling over. But it did TASTE good! I don't really think it was anyone's fault, I think it was just a fluke that it happened to our wedding cake. They have apoligized and will be refunding us. Even though our experience was not the best, i would still recommend them.

Let me start by saying that Dana is SUCH a sweet person. I liked her the instant I met her, and the sample cake she made was fabulous! I knew right away that I wanted to book her based on her outstanding prices and delicious cake!
That said, I was disappointed with her communication. It took her several weeks and multiple emails from me, to get back to me with regards to finalizing details.

Additionally, while I was extremely impressed with the flavor of the cake on our wedding day, I was not as impressed with the look of the cake. If design elements are not critical for you, book Dana, her cakes are delicious and earn rave reviews! If you are a little more picky about your cake looking like one you'd see in a magazine, shop around a bit.

Flowers were falling apart before pre-wedding pictures were even finished. All bouquets were being pinned back together throughout the day. Really sad they were all ruined because I had planned on getting mine professionally preserved and none of the girls even were able to save what was left of theirs at the end of the night. :(
