When I first talked to Greg at Coatesville Florist, I knew he was the guy for me. I was planning my wedding from 2 hours away and he told me his price ranges right up front, so I didn't have to come in and go through a big long drawn out meeting only to find he was way too expensive for me.
I met with Greg about 2 months before our wedding, since we were only having a few bouquets and boutonnieres done. On one hand, I liked him because his prices were really great. On the other, I had pictures with me and he kind of wasn't interested in reviewing them with me. It was like my only option was roses with baby's breath. I was interested in keeping the price low, and flowers weren't top on my list. As long as the colors were right, I was happy.
It was kind of bugging me that our flowers were so plain, however. About 2-3 weeks before the wedding, I came across some photos of the same bouquets, but with red Hypericum berries. I knew this was just the touch I needed in my flowers. I called Greg and asked him if it was too late to make a change. He was extremely accommodating and gave me no hassle and it didn't even increase the price of the bouquets to ad the RED berries.
However... the day of the wedding came and he showed up with my bouquets with yellowy-green hypericum berries. I was so disappointed. At that point, it was far too late to make a change. It didn't matter much to me on the bridesmaid's bouquets because they were really colorful, but in my all-ivory bouquet and boutonnieres it really looked different.
I really don't understand the problem with the berries. I sent Greg pictures of exactly what I wanted. Why would he do something in a completely different color? If he couldn't get the berries in red, he could have at least called and I would have said not to bother. :(
After the wedding, I didn't bother saying anything. Unfortunately, there is just no going back. So while Greg was very friendly and accommodating, I was a bit disappointed.
