I am so glad we picked Clarissa! For my husband and I, getting married in a naturally beautiful place was important to us. We also both don't feel super comfortable in front of the camera. When searching for a photographer, we wanted someone who could make us feel at ease enough to be ourselves while capturing the serenity around us. After seeing Clarissa's beautiful portfolio and experiencing her can-do attitude, we knew we found the perfect photographer for us.

Clarissa took time to get to know us by asking about our interests and our vision for the photos. She was enthusiastic about the wedding, helping me make decisions about my bridesmaid dresses, and even sending me photos from her sister's wedding with a similar mismatched scheme to help me visualize. I am so thankful for her patience, kindness, and artistic eye.

Clarissa went above and beyond to make our day special. Due to some family difficulties, my morning started out a little rocky. As soon we started our first look shoot all of that stress melted away. She took my stressors and emotions in stride and helped me feel relaxed and in the moment. Her joy is completely contagious.

We also signed up for a separate photo session after the wedding, taking photos with just my husband and I in Yosemite Valley at sunrise. This photoshoot is my most treasured memory from the weekend. It was so peaceful. For our first anniversary, we camped and woke up before sunrise and revisited the spots we took photos with Clarissa. These spots forever feel sacred to us, even more so than the actual wedding venue, and I thank Clarissa for that incredible experience.

Clarissa was timely in getting the photos back to us, and they are absolutely beautiful. Her photos are true to color and capture the feeling of the days perfectly. I wish I knew more about photography to say more, but I think they speak for themselves! I've attached some of my favorites.

Finally, Clarissa put together a beautiful photo album for us. She was quick with sending us the album draft. I ended up getting quite overzealous, sending her ideas for spreads and edits - mostly because I couldn't narrow down a few from so many great options. She took everything in stride and worked with me to create my dream album. My husband and I love to look through it, and it really is a special heirloom we will forever treasure.

To sum it up, Clarissa is a joyful person and a wonderful photographer. After meeting her at our wedding and hearing about our sunrise shoot, some close friends of ours even decided to book her for an after-wedding shoot of their own this summer, and we are so excited to see the results! We cannot recommend Clarissa enough. Thank you Clarissa for the wonderful time and beautiful photos to remember it by!

We can’t recommend Clarissa enough for your wedding! We booked Clarissa early January 2023 for our June 2024 wedding and she has been absolutely incredible throughout the entire wedding planning process. Not only did she provide tips and advice for a perfect Yosemite Elopement she also provided such a sense of relief, we knew we were in great hands. She truly helped us plan the whole wedding and helped coordinate the day of to make sure everything flowed smoothly. Sure, every wedding day has some hiccups but Clarissa was great at reassuring us and her calming presence put both of us at ease during our big day. Clarissa showed us pictures throughout the day which was really nice to reassure us that we got the pictures we wanted. We had our ceremony at Glacier Point and hiked out to Taft Point for sunset. Clarissa and her assistant Christy went out the night before to scope out the area to make sure we got those perfect dreamy shots we always had envisioned. Clarissa lives in California so she shot at Yosemite before so she knew of all the perfect places to go, especially since we have never been! She gave clear and concise instructions on where to stand and how to pose. We trusted her vision and we could not have been happier. I would highly recommend her for any destination wedding. Throughout our entire wedding process I felt like Clarissa wasn’t just our photographer but she quickly became our best friend. We booked an 8hr session, which comes along with a photo album which is a very nice touch! The photos came out absolutely breathtaking. Every time we look at our pictures it takes us right back to that unforgettable day. If you’re a type A bride who wants everything a specific way for your special day, Clarissa is your girl!

Hiring Clarissa was hands down one of the BEST choices we made for our wedding.
Our wedding day would not have been the same without her! All our guests loved her and we do too! My husband and I have spoken so many times about how special and amazing that day was for us. Our main memories are looking into each other's eyes and kissing and hugging the whole day with such an amazing side of adventure! We couldn't have planned things better if we tried, and this wouldn't have been possible without Clarissa! But where to start with all the help she provided us?

First of all, she helped us with the permits and planning, she checked in on us and was SO fast to answer any questions I had. Prior to the wedding she sent us a gift box which included luggage tags, a calendar, and a Yosemite candle and after the wedding she sent us a customized holiday ornament with our pictures. She even sent us a gift so we could enjoy going over our wedding pictures for the first time. Not only that but she created the timeline of the day for us and sent questionnaires to make sure we were all on the same page for the wedding. Once in Yosemite, she met with us the day before over coffee to discuss all the details, and she event scouted all the locations for our photos the day before, so she was more than prepared! She even had the wedding timeline as her screen saver! I haven’t even mentioned the actual pictures yet which are STUNNING! She is such a talented photographer with such a beautiful romantic vision and somehow she managed to make us FULLY comfortable in front of the camera.

Clarissa is someone that has an attention to detail that doesn’t come naturally to many people. She is so patient and thoughtful I could keep going on forever with compliments on this review. Picking her as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we could have made. I only hope for the best for her and that everyone will fight over her for their wedding day. If you have any doubts BOOK HER. You won’t regret it!

I would give Clarissa 100 stars if I could. If we had to go back in time I would hire her again and again and again. She made our special day and the ones leading up to it PERFECT, let me explain: we knew we wanted to get married in Zion National Park which requires some permits and behind the scenes not fun paperwork.. she completely took care of them and made the process so smooth for us. Throughout the months leading up to our day, we chatted and video called multiple times to talk about what we wanted (specific photo spots, how we wanted the day to flow, what time we wanted to start everything etc), not only did she help us figure out what we did and didn't want, she planned a full itinerary and PDF'd it (with a cute design) that truly helped my adhd brain not panic over what time we were doing what activities. The day before, we met her for coffee after she had been out scouting the best locations for us.. One of the things I told her I wanted was for us to have a super private vow exchange in a slot canyon (our immediate family attended the actual ceremony) and she literally found a hidden slot canyon that was totally UNTOUCHED. You could tell by the sand that no footprints had been there for a very long time (See pics for how freaking incredible this spot was). Then the day of when she arrives, she brings my husband and I our exact coffee orders from the day before! A much needed surprise

Clarissa is the best! A photographer is arguably one of the people you’ll spend the most time with on your wedding day, and Clarissa does an incredible job making sure it’s a positive experience with absolutely stunning results! Seriously, if you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate, just book her and you will not regret it!

Clarissa took the time to get to know us and what we wanted so she could get all those beautiful shots, and she went above and beyond to make the whole experience upbeat, fun, and as stress free as possible. She was so organized throughout the whole process and wedding day that I didn’t have to worry about any coordinating and she worked so well with our family to make everything flow seamlessly. She scoped out some areas for our after-wedding beach photos and found us the perfect spot! It was such a joy to work with Clarissa from beginning to end and the pictures are gorgeous!

All I can say is that Clarissa is amazing and you will not be disappointed! The most important thing to me was a shot that captured the beautiful Lake Tahoe setting and us, so that we could have it as a piece of art not just a wedding photo. Clarissa, not only delivered on one of those shots but so many that I am having a hard time choosing!
Not only were her pictures stunning, but she made the whole process easy. Even when I changed our October date to April last minute because I decided I wanted snow, she just rolled with it.
Being a planner and not being able to make a "reservation" like you normally would with a venue, made eloping a very scary thing for me. From the start, Clarissa did a great job giving us options and scouting locations, so that when the day came I felt relaxed and knew that we had a good plan on how the day would flow.
As for the day of, it couldn't have gone any better! I was worried about how my now husband would handle 6 hours of photos when I could hardly get him to do a 20 min mini session, but Clarissa made everything so easy that he was totally at ease the whole time.
Then the icing on the cake was the album she created! It is one thing to see all our photos on the computer but then to get this album.... It was just beautiful and brought the day to life all over again! Considering it took me two months just to create our announcement, I can't imagine how long an album like this would have taken me, not to mention I would not have been able to make something with that kind of quality myself. I really can't recommend Clarissa enough and Thank you Clarissa for making our day so amazing and special!

Words cannot express how wonderful and easy it was working with Clarissa to capture such an important milestone of our lives. The planning surrounding a wedding/elopement can be super stressful, but having Clarissa on our team was like a breath of fresh air. Not to mention the final photos were stunning — got all the compliments from our family and friends!

We felt so taken care of even from our initial chat, and it always felt like she had both the big picture and small details in mind, from outfit ideas, to photo spots, to permits/regulations, to making sure everyone felt comfortable (e.g., our relatives and even our doggo!).

Even though we kept unintentionally throwing hurdles her way (sorry!), she took everything in stride and brought great attitude and energy through it all — which was contagious and much needed because I was feeling stressed and grumpy at times. Late night and super early morning start time back-to-back? No problem. Stubborn fur baby who won't look at the camera? Easy peasy, cue the impressive animal noises. A gazillion last minute things that changed/we forgot to mention? Piece of cake.

Her style of photography and portfolio are what initially drew us in (the natural look instead of the currently trending styles), but what really sealed the deal for us was how thorough she was from the beginning in that we didn't feel stressed/uncertain about how things will play out. She was both very professional but still felt like our bff (like, how???). It was also like she was proactively trying to help reduce our stress, like even researching things for us we didn't think to look into. She made difficult logistics look simple.

Her prices were affordable and well worth it. If you are on the fence about hiring her, I would suggest having a chat with her and asking all the questions and concerns you have (even if it seems like a tall order because she'll at least talk it through with you and try to work with you).

At the end of the day, we wanted someone we could trust with the photos and to make us look good and was easy to work with/did not add to our stress, and that's what we got plus so much more.

Clarissa, we can't thank you enough. It was less than a year, but we truly enjoyed your company. We greatly appreciate all you've done for us and had a blast gallivanting through the mountains with you.

Clarissa hands down made our wedding day the best day of our lives. We found her through extensive internet searches and immediately loved her work. Our experience with her just got better and better. We started to chat about how we envisioned our big day. We had absolutely no idea what we wanted other than an outdoor wedding with a beautiful view and our closest family in attendance. Clarissa planned every detail for us from the different locations we took pictures at throughout the day, to having the ceremony at Horseshoe Bend, the permits,the timeline, her husband was even our officiant. Once we received the photos we were blown away. She truly captured our day perfectly. Clarissas talent is unmatched, and her kind demeanor was an added benefit. I would choose her to be our photographer over and over again.

Working with Clarissa is a breeze! She takes a careful and thoughtful approach on everything from A to Z. From understanding location logistics to providing outfit inspirations, she guided us seamlessly through the entire process. Initially, we teamed up with her for our engagement photos and when the wedding rolled around, she was the only person we would consider. Her friendly demeanor and passion for the work she does, makes the activity of shooting photos incredibly fun and easy-going! We trusted her with running the show, and would do the same over and over. She provided great insight, direction and meticulous execution for some of the biggest events in our life, capturing perfectly the love we have for one another. Thank you again, Clarissa! Oh man, where do I begin. For starters, I had no idea about Clarissa and her talent until after our photoshoot because it was my surprise proposal! So to say I was completely out of my comfort zone is an understatement and Clarissa couldn’t have made the experience any better for me. She was fun, energetic, caring and really made my fiancé and I feel so special and loved during the entire shoot. Her photos speak for themselves - she is exceptional!!!
