City Barbeque is a catering company located in the Triangle that serves couples in the Raleigh metropolitan area and beyond. Opening its doors in 1999, the catering company has a long tradition of creating dishes full of patience, flavor and devotion. They'll work with you with that same level of devotion to provide mouthwatering BBQ for you and your guests on your wedding day.

Services Offered
City Barbeque provides couples with all of the catering necessities to bring your dining experience together, including delivery, setup, cleanup and disposable plates, napkins and silverware. They even offer a complimentary tasting and professional catering personnel to assist with the planning.

Cuisine
Hand-rubbed with spices, each of their meats is smoked on-site and takes nearly 18 hours to become the perfect dish you'll experience on your wedding day. Additionally, their sides are homemade and fresh each day. They'll work with you to create your ideal menu and can accommodate dietary requests. Enjoy your meal in your choice of serving style, including buffet, hor d'oeuvres, stations, servers or family-style dining options.

great value!

Lynn and her team were wonderful! The tasting was probably our favorite part of wedding planning. We got married at the Graham Mill. They were flexible with us as plans changed with COVID and always made us feel taken care of. Brisket was delicious, corn pudding and peach cobbler were also favorites. We are glad we chose City BBQ. Highly recommend!

City bbq is the best

City BBQ is the best! They were easy to work with and followed request set ups. It was the best tasting experience we had, and all of our guests loved the food (all out of state) and you even get the left overs! They have made a catering customer for life when we need to cater a large event!

City Barbecue was wonderful! When every other caterer quoted us over 7k for food for our wedding, they provided a very reasonable price for 115 people. The tasting was free, they provided us with their own plates, cups, and a beautiful set up. I loved the way they designed their serving platters. Venue director raved over them too which made us feel super good about hiring them. If you're not looking to pay a crazy amount with decent quality service, defiantly consider city barbecue.

Absolutely Perfect!

Easy to work with, always quick to respond, AFFORDABLE, and incredibly professional. They even made us each a to-go box which was of course delicious. HIGHLY recommend City BBQ for your wedding or any event you have.

Wedding 9/21/19

We had City BBQ cater our 120 guest wedding and they did a wonderful job. The food was AMAZING. The staff were all very professional and made special accommodations for the bride and groom (like serving us at our table). We did two meats, the Mac and cheese bar (amazing) and green beans. City BBQ also did our cocktail hour, unfortunately, I did not see any of this or try it, as I was taking pictures. However, our guests all loved the food. I would definitely recommend anyone to City BBQ for any events. Also, SO AFFORDABLE. The quotes we had from other vendors was insane, city BBQ was far cheaper than anyone we spoke with.

Delicious food that everyone loved!

My husband and I chose City Barbecue for our caterer and we were very happy with them. We worked with Lynn, who was great! Our tasting with her was delicious and we were able to choose which meats and sides we wanted, in addition to asking her the (many!) questions I had. She was knowledgeable and patient, answering all our questions. She helped us decide how much food we needed as appetizers for our guests and was nice to work with throughout the whole process.

The set up looked nice the day of, everyone told us they really enjoyed the food, and we had a nice variety that even provided options for those who were vegetarian, vegan, etc. It was great! City Barbecue staff prepared our plates so we didn't have to wait in line and they even packed us up a couple boxes full of food so we could eat some once we got home (my husband did and he said it hit the spot). That was a nice touch that we really appreciated. Overall, City Barbecue was fantastic and I would definitely recommend!

So delicious & great to work with!

When City BBQ was recommended to us for our wedding, I was immediately excited b/c I'd eaten there before. They are affordable, their food is delicious, and I cannot go on enough about their service! We worked with Lynn, and she is AMAZING. She met us multiple times for different tastings, listened to us and chatted like we were old friends, and made sure the wedding food was awesome. The brisket will literally melt in your mouth, and the corn pudding was such a hit that I'm still asked about it from our wedding guests. If you want yummy, affordable food that balances southern tradition with the elegance of carved chicken and brisket, this is your place! We also did the s'mores bar, and it was amazing!

Delicious food, excellent service

We went with a buffet for our wedding. Lynn was wonderful to work with and hammered out all the details like a pro. Service was excellent, absolutely no complaints! They even served the bride and groom table. We had a ton of food left over to take home, no complaints there either! All of our guests let us know how delicious everything was. They also cut and served the cake for a small fee.

Such good food!

No questions asked I would definitely use City BBQ for catering again for any events. They were very professional, the food setup was creative and matched the setting of the wedding, and most importantly it was SO GOOD and also affordable. They offer many different packages with different meats and sides to meet budget needs. We had brisket, pork BBQ and pulled chicken as our main meats, they also have dessert options instead of traditional cake - the banana pudding was a hit!!

Lynn from City BBQ was welcoming, honest, and accommodating from the moment we met her at the tasting! It continued throughout the entire process. The food was delicious! We had the smoked turkey and brisket. People raved about how great the food was! There were hardly any leftovers! City BBQ is a great value for awesome food and service!
