We absolutely loved working with Shannon and Circle of Love Ceremonies for our wedding. From the beginning, she welcomed us and supported all of our ideas and thoughts. We really liked that she was flexible and open to personalizing the vows. We ended up being married with words that we so personal and meaningful for us. Circle of Love offers many different packages to fit any budget and we highly recommend her, especially for beach weddings!

Shannon is great! She is professional and very easy to work with. She makes sure your ceremony is everything you want. You get a personalized booklet of your vows that she creates based on your meeting with her. She is very flexible with changing and adding anything you want. The sand ceremony is beautiful and highly recommended if your thinking about it. She provides the glass vase, etched with your names and wedding date along with the sand at a better price than you will find anywhere! She is very sweet and everyone raved about how beautiful the ceremony was. She also has some great suggestions to personalized your ceremony even more. Thanks Shannon!!!

My fiancé and I booked with Shannon very early on in our planning. We received her name from the venue we had booked with, so we of course were expecting excellent service. When we first booked with her, she didn't ask to meet with us or even set up a phone call to learn about us. Everything was done via email. We felt her not wanting to meet us was a little odd, but due to her being a few hours away from where we lived we didn't think much of it. At first she was pretty responsive, until we made our payment to book our date. She then became very hard to get in touch with. It took several emails before we would get a response. At which I received several excuses about what took so long to get a reply from her. She sent us a "rough draft" of our wedding ceremony that she had written. I don't know that I would call this a rough draft. The only thing accurate about it was our names. The ceremony was written about another couple. When we notified her of the mix up we never got a response. Well not until we notified her 2 1/2 weeks later that we would no longer be using her services. Again, I got a lot of excuses from her. Luckily this was still about 5 months before our wedding and we had time to look for someone more reliable who we felt more confident about. Planning a wedding is stressful, but it becomes really stressful when you have to worry if the officiate you hire is going to talk about you and your fiancé or another couple during your wedding ceremony. Hopefully we are just one in a few that have to experience this unfortunate situation. We did find a great Rev. afterwards to marry us and couldn't have been happier with her. So it did all work out for the best!

When my fiancé and I first got engaged we searched for an officiant for our beach wedding. We went through a few and finally settled on this (mostly for the price, and that we wouldn't have to meet prior to booking since we live 3+ hours away.) Shannon didn't respond to my initial contact, so I tried several times to call before I finally got an answer, busy with life will email you back... we should have taken this as our first sign and continued our search. Our whole engagement was a battle trying to get any sort of response from Shannon. Our first draft of the ceremony had entirely wrong names at the bottom... It wasn't until we asked for our deposit back before we would get any sort of response from her. When I edited our ceremony down (quite a bit) she mentioned that the ceremony would only be about 10 minutes, which is what we initially told her we were wanting. The day before our ceremony she finally emailed me the final draft... which was essentially the same as the first draft she sent just with semi-corrected names (our sons name was completely different throughout). She did show up at our ceremony... and we are married. This is why she gets one star. I wouldn't recommend this officiant at all. Please spend the extra $50 to get a different officiant from Wilmington or elsewhere on the island. You will have peace of mind, and an officiant who can be there for you.
