We are located in the historic district in the village of Rodanthe on Cape Hatteras in North Carolina. Our original Life Saving Station dates back to 1874 (the 1st station built in NC): that station was replaced in 1911 and became a US Coast Guard Station in 1915 and was an active duty station until decommissioned in 1954. We would be happy to host your ceremony and your reception on our beautiful grounds and restored porches.

In this instance, Chicamacomico LifeSaving Station was used for a Coast Guard retirement ceremony. The staff was very accommodating throughout the process to ensure the a successful ceremony. I'd also like to thank the staff for allowing use of the upstairs offices so that all of the Coast Guard men and women who attended could change into/out of their uniforms. The site was well-maintained and made it easy for the organizers to set-up for/break-down from the ceremony.Sent on 08/16/2016

The Chicamacamico Life Saving Station is a stunning venue and is very unique to Hatteras Island. The caretaker, John Griffin was very accommodating. There are multiple ceremony sites and a large space for a tent. I highly recommend using this venue for your upcoming wedding.
