I was planning my wedding at the last minute, and it seemed like all of the local caterers were already booked. I ran across Chef Austin's website, and I'm so glad I did! He was extremely flexible with his menu, working with what I envisioned, and he was sensitive to the few guests with food allergies, making sure everyone could find something to eat. When he asked me about the setup at the gazebo where we had booked the venue and found that I really hadn't thought things through, he offered to do everything for me, including renting the tables and worrying about the decorations. In his contract with us, all we had to do was 'show up'. I am so glad I left it to him! Planning an out of town wedding is hard, and his familiarity with the area and what was needed meant that we had a spectacular luncheon with gorgeous table settings. He was very flexible with the scheduling and even helped my friend with her specially made cake and setup. I would recommend Chef Austin for anything from a casual luncheon to a more formal dinner. He is great.

Couples of us from FLETC ordered from AUSTIN'S gathering food truck. We ordered bbq ribs green beans, and seasoned rice. The ribs was liquid smoked,though and fatty I bit into the ribs with my gold teeth, i be dam if it didn't pull my gold cap off my teeth because of the toughness the rice was highly seasoned, the green beans just poured out if a can sprinkle with garlic salt s I called mr Austin himself started making a complaint he hung the phone up on me I called right back he put me on hold for 6 minutes got on the phone I was explaining my tough ribs situation to him he then hung up again we will not be ordering again from his food truck. We also said no sauce on ribs it came sauce and u can see where it was being wiped off with a dish rag

This catering company is the WORST business I've EVER come across. Chef Austin's Southern Cooking and Catering was scheduled to be present at the venue at 2:00pm. The wedding started at 5:00pm. The cateter did not show up until almost 7:00pm. He was contacted at a minimum of 10 times from 2:00pm until his arrival time. The first time he was contacted he informed the coordinator that he was in Dekalb county. The wedding was in Woodstock, Ga which is about 40 miles from where he was located. Every time he was contacted he gave a different eta. He was unapologetic. He proceeded to contact the GROOM instead of the wedding coordinator, the point of contact he was given for that day. We had to continue to contact HIM instead of the other way around. The wedding ceremony ended and it was still a little over an hour before he arrived. It was extremely hot and there were no beverages for the guests. When they finally arrived, instead of using the back entrance so that the the bride, groom, and guests would not see how horribly late they were, he pulled his truck up to the front door of the reception hall! He did not bring enough beverages. We ran out after an hour and a half. Because he arrived so late, the food did not have the proper heating time so many of the guests received cold food. They began heating plates of food in the microwave. He then pulls the groom to the side to try and plead his case to him. Again, why was he speaking to the GROOM about what went wrong for him. There was NO professionalism what so ever. The owner of the venue BANNED him from ever doing business there again. This could have been a great opportunity for this caterer because there were three newly engaged couples attending this wedding. Chef Austin you are definitely in the WRONG line of business if you think that what you provided was your idea of customer service and hospitality. You give a HORRIBLE name to those who work in the food service industry.
