Chalmene Boland, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, started her passion for cooking while working alongside her father Daniel L Boland Jr. His passion for cooking inspired her greatly. She set out to learn all the secrets to his great cuisines. After many years of his teaching, Chalmene took over 20 years of experience in catering to Texas in hopes of starting her own Catering business. Shortly after moving to Texas Tyrell, who also resides in Texas, assisted Chalmene as she carefully and strategically planned to launch ChaTee’ Event Planning and Catering in the near future. Chalmene decided bringing a taste of New Orleans to Texas would be a great idea, however; it didn't happen overnight. Pushing through many obstacles, the dream finally became the reality. Cha'Tee Event Planning and Catering was founded in 2009, offering Texans the opportunity to experience some of New Orleans's favorite cuisines, such as fancy style New Orleans hors d'oeuvres, with a spin of traditional New Orleans cuisines.

Troylyn, a native of NOLA was born into a family of cooks with deep roots and family recipes. Troylyn learned how to move around the kitchen, rolling meatballs, peeling shrimp, and tackling huge chef pots and pans. She carefully learned her grandfather's recipes and had first-hand experience working alongside her mother. Troylyn mastered Cha'Tee's hors d'oeuvres, all while sharing new ideas. She expressed strong interest in the business and her creations, unique style added to Cha'Tee. Her designs, displays, elegance, and Innovative ideas, present Cha'Tee hors d'oeuvres and cocktail stations with class!

Jennifer Crook grew up in a household where it was customary to have family gatherings around great food. Jennifer was exposed to great creole dishes exclusively prepared by her mother who was a culinary arts teacher from Louisiana.

Jennifer met Chalmene 15 years ago while attending her friend's party, which was catered by Cha'Tee's. Jennifer was intrigued by the food as she remembered the taste of her mother's great dishes. She expressed to Chalmene how much she enjoyed the food and the service.

Chalmene remembered that conversation and reached out to Jennifer in need of an additional server. Jennifer excited about the opportunity immediately agreed to assist Cha’Tee. Jennifer enjoyed the experience and continued working with Cha'Tee all while sharing valuable ideas and was quick in determining business solutions. Chalmene was so impressed by Jennifer’s passion, determination, drive, honesty, work ethic, and ability to manage the dynamics of events, that she was promoted to the position of Business Manager for Cha’Tee Event Planning and Catering.
