CFAER is a BEAUTIFUL, ELEGANT & AFFORDABLE perfect blank slate 125 person wedding, Although we had 150 and it worked out just fine! We transformed the venue into my dream wedding, had great lighting, and there is sufficient space in the small kitchen and downstairs for storage and behind the scenes work! There's even an elevator to make everything easier! It also has great light from all of the windows that make for great photos. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for a bride on a budget who has excellent taste!!! Brian and the whole team were extremely friendly, helpful and professional! We LOVED IT and everyone was complimenting us on how beautiful the space was!!! A +++

This is a beautiful alternative to a traditional hall, and has a very traditional feel without being a church. It was a Carnegie library and we are bibliophiles, so it was perfect for us. It was also incredibly reasonably priced, and the staff were wonderful. Even with event insurance our total cost for the venue came in under $3000. The only caveat is that it books fast so you have to reserve well in advance.

This was a beautiful and very accommodating venue. Organizing a wedding at this location is very DIY (bring your own vendors), which gave us the flexibility to design the wedding we wanted and not merely the one that came with the location. The space was easily managed for both ceremony and reception. We used the outside pergola area for our cocktail hour, which got a little crowded but was still charming. We took family photos at a separate location before the ceremony because the neighborhood surrounding this venue wasn't entirely suitable for good photos. The rentals manager is busy and will take a full day to answer emails, but he was always friendly and flexible with our requests. Since so many events take place at this location, expect a tight schedule for scheduling rehearsals or tours. We also found it necessary to purchase additional hours for setup and takedown, but this allowed us to enjoy our time unhurried.

For weddings of 125 or less this is the perfect location. It’s churchy, without being a church. Luis & his staff are amazing & very helpful with planning and suggestions for the big day. They even have a kitchen for catering/cooking prep!!

We loved this venue, but it definitely added stress to my life! Brian, the contact at the Center is too busy, and it can be difficult to get a hold of him or get answers to questions. That said, when you get him in person, he's helpful, friendly and accommodating, so plan on setting up some appointments and going to the center.

The venue costs are very competitive for the LA area, but it's not a huge place, we had 80 guests, and you could probably do 100 comfortably for a sit down dinner, but I wouldn't want too many more than that unless you have full use of both rooms (depends on their exhibit schedule).

The center is absolutely lovely, and makes for a nice indoor venue for the winter months in CA. We did only our reception there because there is not much for picture taking opportunity.

The venue - originally an old Carnegie library - is really beautiful, at a great price, and pretty flexible in terms of how you use the space. But the venue reps were unprofessional in many respects which makes me hesitant to recommend it.

A non-profit arts center, its board changed the layout of the historically significant space - building walls in a secondary room - weeks after we signed our contract but never notified us of the impending changes -- even after the walls were built. After some lengthy conversations, we asked for a discount which they granted -- but then gave us a hard time about later. The main contact person is friendly but not very responsive. The staff - mostly friendly - gave conflicting information about when drop-offs could happen. Finally, despite repeated assurances that we had full use of their projector for our slide show, on our wedding day the projector was nowhere to be found and the on-site rep claimed that there never was one. Not cool.

If you're willing to be forceful about what you want and can put up with some haphazard coordination, it's still a very nice venue. But be sure you're clear about what it is you want and what they'll provide.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
